A/N: /peeks/ hi! It's been a while.
Disclaimer: originally a sort of freeform, but I kept adding on to it and now I'd rather have it here.

It turned out to be a night of revelations, and with a little help from her favourite wine, Tiffany found herself revealing her inner thoughts and feelings. Her fears, her insecurities, her heart- all poured out before she could hold anything back.
Taeyeon had suggested a movie night, a romantic movie she proudly declared as one of her all time favourites, and Tiffany knew she should have said no. She should have turned it down because it was one of the nights that she wished they were different; that they weren’t just friends from work, that Taeyeon didn’t just want to hang out because her original plans got cancelled earlier and that maybe, just maybe, Tiffany could find just a little courage to tell the girl how she really felt about her.
Tiffany could never say no to Taeyeon, not to those gentle brown eyes nor to that dimpled smile. It was hopeless, so that night she found herself leaning back against the sofa, swirling the wine in her glass slowly, letting Taeyeon rest lightly against her side. It was a bad idea. She should have known better. Yet, she let them share a blanket, causing the latter to sit much closer than she had anticipated. She had allowed the girl to switch off the lights, because Taeyeon insisted it didn’t feel like a movie until the room was darker. With only the television litting up the room, causing fleeting shadows dance across Taeyeon’s face every time she stole a glance, Tiffany had to take a few more sips of the wine she had originally intended to save for special occasions.
Taeyeon looked mesmerizing tonight. Everything about her was so serene. They were so different from each other. Their lifestyles, habits, personality- they were basically polar opposites but Taeyeon complemented her. They balanced each other out, that was the main reason they got along so well, and how she fell in love.
Tiffany felt her yearning grow the more she drank, but ironically, the wine helped just a little. It helped her to quieten her thoughts so she downed her glass as the movie started to play the end credits.
The movie was pretty good, even though she did envy the love they had; it was natural, it was simple, the chemistry was undeniable, and even when faced with obstacles, it ended well. The mood that lingered in the air between them felt comfortable, and if she dared to admit it, it felt intimate. Being right there with her, just spending time with her, and merely having Taeyeon next to her felt so right. Tiffany wanted her to stay longer.
It was a mistake to turn and look at her because the room was darker, and when Taeyeon turned to meet her eyes, she glowed in the moonlight that shone through the windows facing her. Tiffany felt her yearning grow, her heart clenched, and she made an abrupt move to stand up as if she had been burnt. She needed space.
It was too much, too much Taeyeon.
She wanted to hold her, so much that it hurts. In seconds she found herself pacing the room, because her mind wasn’t thinking rationally anymore. Her heart wanted to be free. Everything felt suffocating.
“Hey, what’s wrong?”
That made her talk. It was her voice, and maybe a little wine, that triggered a little fire in her hurting heart. Tiffany started to talk, and she couldn’t stop.
“You shouldn’t be here. I should have said no tonight, I don’t want to anymore. I can’t do this,” she started and stopped her pacing. She stared at the floor, frowning, glaring at nothing. “Taeyeon, I can’t do this anymore.”
“Do what?”
She didn’t know how the girl was reacting to this, and she didn’t want to so she opted to turn her back on her, facing the big windows instead, because she couldn’t stop talking even if she wanted to. “Having you around. I can’t have you around anymore. It’s-it’s too hard.”
The silence that lingered gave her ample time to reflect, and she wished she hadn’t said anything at all. She couldn’t stop now, might as well get it over and done with.
“I’m in love with you,” she said finally, in the quiet room, the movie credits had ended, leaving her words hang in the air like the stars that lit the sky that night. It seemed like a beautiful night but she readied herself for the consequences of her words. “I’m in love with you, and I can’t have you around anymore.”
A soft chuckle made her look back, the hurt instantly amplified at the sound she usually loved. The sound sliced through her already sensitive heart, making her grimace. She frowned at the girl’s amused smile. How could Taeyeon just laugh at her when she had just bared her heart to her? She was about to get really upset until Taeyeon smiled softly, warm eyes meeting her own, and Tiffany forgot what she had wanted to say. Why was she upset again?
Taeyeon’s smile grew as she spoke. “So all it took was an excuse to spend time with you, a sappy movie, and a little wine for you to get that little bit of courage, huh? I’m sorry, but I’ve waited too long and I would have said something tonight if you hadn’t.”
She paused, and Tiffany realized Taeyeon was reading her expression, but with her next words, Tiffany felt her heart grow with immense relief, and immeasurable joy. She felt herself smile.
“I’m not planning on going anywhere. You’re stuck with me now.”
