Yeah, it lacks the sheer feeling of accomplishment of nailing a particularly hard solo in Gitaroo Man, or of building up a song from nothing in Frequency and Amplitude. That said, the tempo changes are fairly unique, and the pressure sensitivity adds considerable depth. I'm still not great a judging how hard to press the buttons, though, so it feels a bit hit-or-miss at the moment. At £2.50, though, I'd be an idiot to complain, and I'll stick with it, in part because I need to listen to more classical music.
XIII has it's moments, and is definitely worth it as a second game for a fiver. In fact, I think I got it for £10, and it holds up at that price, too.
GAME were either really nice, or really horrible to me this weekend. Since they have the Guild Wars Special Edition for £19.99. So, naturally, I got the thing. And, it is very good. Easy to get into, but it doesn't feel like you have to be there for hours to get anything done. At level 1 I was beating up on level 5 mobs solo, which had I even dreamt of doing that in EQ, I'd have had to wake up and apologise.
I also picked up SotC, and it is rather fantastic. I'm not yet as hooked as I thought I was going to be, and if anything the 2nd Colossus was somewhat frustrating. (Nowhere near as frustrating as Agro!) But, the quality and specialness just drips, and I know that I am going to savour this one.
I noticed there's a distressing lack of cool people named 'James'. Unless I'm being dense. At the moment, all I can think of is James Earl Jones, who is pretty cool. We also have James Blunt. Fuck. We're shit!

Is Kenneth Branagh cool? I'm not sure
Steve is doing Collosus on hard mode now and it's driving him mad. I'm playing Ico and it's lovely. Pure quality, and it just oozes atmosphere
