I never realized she had such a lovely profile! You hardly see licca pictures as it is. Yours are definitely the best! I'm always amazed at how professional they look.
I hope you don't mind me asking, but I've always wondered-do you photoshop your pictures at all, or do they just come out this great already :o?
It's amazing! All these playline Liccas are just waiting to be "discovered"! I've honestly only seen like one or two small pictures of Yukata Licca redressed but that was enough to fall in love with her. You can't see the hair well when they're still inside the box, much less the exact color of the eye and so on. I think the smallest color shift can change a doll

Thanks for your reply! It really helped a lot. I always have to photoshop my pictures to get them to look decent, so I'm glad to hear that you photoshop yours too!
The description of your process helped too. I never thought about it, but the vivid colours make your pictures great! So now for my own photos, I try to compare them to the original to see what needs to be changed.
A comparison shot would be great, if you didn't mind posting one :o.
You're welcome, it was no problem. ^^ While I do use Photoshop, it's mostly Paint Shop Pro that I work with but yeah, basically a graphics program that lets me do things I couldn't capture with the camera since I can't afford thousands and thousands of $$ on camera and lenses. :DDD Maybe those paparazzi lenses could capture what I need/like? ^.~ Some lenses can do wonders but they're like, what, several thousand bucks? I think most people edit pictures in some way, be it mere resizing, cropping, lightning them up, etc.
Yeah, I like it when the colors pop out. It's especially lovely on dolls that wear retro clothing (clothes have great colors). They make me think of anime posters because the colors are so vibrant.
Here's an example of the simple clean-up in a graphics program that I've mentioned. 01: Shot inside but light coming from window. No editing at all. 02: Picture is lightened up. No other editing done. Pic can be used as it is since it has nice colors already this way. ^^ You can keep editing if you like at this point

I don't have a LiveJournal account. My name's Patricia from Oakland, California, USA. I've been checking your blog for a while because I've started collecting dolls and taking pictures of them. Your pictures are so good. The simplest little doll really comes alive in your pictures and it is a delight to read about your feelings for them

Hello Pat, nice to meet you! *waves* Thanks for commenting and for visiting my livejournal. :) I'm so sorry for replying so late to your comment! My lj is sort of a blog version of my Licca site at LiccaLicca.net and it's the easiest way to keep in touch will fellow doll fans and collectors. I was very happy to find a large community of fans here on livejournal, so if you ever create an account, do let me know so I can put you on my FriendsList

Hello, Locksley
I'm such a copier. I got this very Yukata Licca on the strength of your pictures and a LiveJournal account. I haven't posted yet. It's been an effort just to get the blog looking the way I want. They give you millions of choices!
I also got a bathtime Licca with purple / blue color change hair (could not resist.) You were so right about how sweet they are when you first see them in person.
I'd be delighted to be on your friends list and would like to put you on mine. You may want to give me a chance to put up some postings first as my postless blog looks a bit silly.
