I don't have a LiveJournal account. My name's Patricia from Oakland, California, USA. I've been checking your blog for a while because I've started collecting dolls and taking pictures of them. Your pictures are so good. The simplest little doll really comes alive in your pictures and it is a delight to read about your feelings for them.
You are inspiring me to start a blog with my photos and to start writing about my own doll addiction. (That's how it's panning out) And to buy a Licca! I have some re-ment furniture now and I don't have a 10 inch doll that can sit down (at the table and chairs).
You might be interested in how I found you. I bought a Petite Blythe Kitchen Queen and, after I got her, ran a web search (on "Petite Blythe Kitchen Queen") and your flicker site came up near the top. I especially wanted to see pictures because I though something was wrong with mines hair! It's all rooted around the top of her head! It didn't take long for me to develop a taste for that though.
Well, there ya go, if you write something, somebody, somewhere, reads it. Thanks, Pat

Hello Pat, nice to meet you! *waves* Thanks for commenting and for visiting my livejournal. :) I'm so sorry for replying so late to your comment! My lj is sort of a blog version of my Licca site at LiccaLicca.net and it's the easiest way to keep in touch will fellow doll fans and collectors. I was very happy to find a large community of fans here on livejournal, so if you ever create an account, do let me know so I can put you on my FriendsList. :)
Thank you for the compliment about my dolly photography. I'm happy it inspired you to write about your dolls! :) That's great! It's such an addictive hobby that keeps on giving and giving. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it because it's a great source of happiness when I'm down but it's also a way to express creativity. Whether it's sewing doll clothes, taking doll pictures or writing about dolls - there are so many things you can do in your free time. It's also a hobby that many people share and you'll never feel alone in it. There's a great sense of belonging.
Eee, you found me because of Petite Blythe? So cute! I love my Kitchen Queen and want to get more dolls that size so they can be her friends. *laugh* She's the cutest little thing and I adore her hairstyle. ♥ I let her sit on the shelves with my other dolls and she's not intimidated by their bigger size at all.
Well, there ya go, if you write something, somebody, somewhere, reads it.
It's the most wonderful thing in the world. Thanks to the internet I've found friends in the hobby that are crazy about dolls just as much as I am. Ahh, the wonders of the internet! If fuels my passion about dolls, after all it's hard NOT to get into dolls when there are so many beautiful pictures of them online... Over the past year I've grown to love dolls I wouldn't have looked at twice before. They weren't my faves at all but now thanks to other inspiring collectors I see how beautiful they are. Addictive hobby, yes! Glad to hear you're also a fan! Thank you again for commenting! :)

Hello, Locksley
I'm such a copier. I got this very Yukata Licca on the strength of your pictures and a LiveJournal account. I haven't posted yet. It's been an effort just to get the blog looking the way I want. They give you millions of choices!
I also got a bathtime Licca with purple / blue color change hair (could not resist.) You were so right about how sweet they are when you first see them in person.
I'd be delighted to be on your friends list and would like to put you on mine. You may want to give me a chance to put up some postings first as my postless blog looks a bit silly.

Hi Pat, good to hear from you again! That's wonderful news, you've bought a Licca! It's not copying at all, I find it amazing you've fallen in love with her because of my pictures. *is happy* It feels like my work is done, hehe. ;) Let's both continue to spread the love of Licca doll!
(It's similar with the doll in my previous post - the pink-haired Shion - because I also got to love her because of other people's photos. It took me more than a year to finally get her. The image of her just stuck in my mind... Yukata Licca is just like Shion, she leaves a great first impression and you can't forget about her!)
Thank you for friending me, I've added you back. Welcome to lj, you'll find it full of doll fans and collectors. I know I never feel alone in this hobby when I'm browsing other people's journals and seeing all these people talking about dolls encourages you to join in the discussion. It's the main source of my daily dolly fix! While Licca isn't a very popular doll on LJ (there also aren't many English websites dedicated to her), hopefully with time her fanbase will grow. We need to spread out more and let people know we're out there! :)
I love Bathtime Liccas, they're so gorgeous! Great hair colors and they're affordable dollies. I even like the green-haired one. Woot! And Yukata Licca is one of the sweetest dolls ever and a great "beginner doll" for Licca fans. You'll have lots of fun with her, I'm sure. Do take pictures!
