You're welcome, it was no problem. ^^ While I do use Photoshop, it's mostly Paint Shop Pro that I work with but yeah, basically a graphics program that lets me do things I couldn't capture with the camera since I can't afford thousands and thousands of $$ on camera and lenses. :DDD Maybe those paparazzi lenses could capture what I need/like? ^.~ Some lenses can do wonders but they're like, what, several thousand bucks? I think most people edit pictures in some way, be it mere resizing, cropping, lightning them up, etc.
Yeah, I like it when the colors pop out. It's especially lovely on dolls that wear retro clothing (clothes have great colors). They make me think of anime posters because the colors are so vibrant.
Here's an example of the simple clean-up in a graphics program that I've mentioned. 01: Shot inside but light coming from window. No editing at all. 02: Picture is lightened up. No other editing done. Pic can be used as it is since it has nice colors already this way. ^^ You can keep editing if you like at this point but to me it looks nice enough.
I think it didn't need more editing because I chose a vibrant enough background already (so this is another good way to have nice colors in a photograph). By lightning the picture I only let that original color of the background show. If I kept the original pic as it is, it would portray the wrong colors since it was taken inside. In reality the bg color isn't a dark purple but a vibrant purple like on Pic 2. The doll's skintone isn't that dark either (though it *is* a tan-skinned Licca). It sucks when the camera doesn't capture the correct colors but that's what editing is for. ^_^ Or flashlights, proper lightning, better lens LOL, etc.
