[ota] theatre, training, cramps oh my

If he had to regret something- maybe it was the fact that Julien had taken him on for training before he'd decided to snap Amy's arm. Between his mother and the Ace, he didn't think there was a muscle in his body that hadn't been worked- extensively- of late. And on top of it all there had been so much running about in the theatre today that he ( Read more... )

Oh, there had been interesting words. Not on the same level as what happened Hadyn or Amy. There were unhappy relatives who didn't quite understand she was still in a period of transitioning. But it was yet another time Lasandra Adare had caused trouble at the Spade Castle.

What was she doing there so often, anyway?

Well, she had been a good girl for the last three weeks. Still, she was not above bribery when dealing with Aunt Sunnae and Uncle Fred, so she went to a bakery that wasn't too far from the theater. A wise location, theater people often had the munchies after a long show.

She spies Hadyn and she pauses for a moment. And then she walks over with the bakery box, "Hey, Hadyn. You're not allergic to milk or chocolate are you?"

Hadyn paused a moment, before looking up at Sandy and offering a bit of a rye smile.

"It would be a tragic and lonely world if I was. Are you offering me milk and chocolate?" He asked, nodding to a spot on the steps next to him. "Hows life treating you?"

"Well, I'm offering you items that are made from milk and chocolate and you are never entirely sure. I just got into high school on the outside when peanut butter was this horrible poison to everyone. Not that hose allergies don't exist, it just came as a shock since it was such a stable."

She smiles brightly and takes the accepted seat and unties the bow. Less for family but it's good to share with friends, they'll understand it. "Better than compared to you and Amy. I've been busy as a bee doing... stuff for the Clubs and doing some work in the evening hours. So, how about you?" She offers the box, filled with reverse chocolate chip cookies, "Are those rumors I've heard true?"

"What rumors are those? There are too many to keep up with." He said as he picked out a cookie and took a bite. "And Amy's life isn't even that bad. She got demoted? Oh spank me- so horrible." Hadyn said with a roll of his eyes. He was actually having to work for his living.

"Why are you working for the Clubs anyway? Planning to jump ship?"

A few minutes later, maybe, Gaston comes back to the theater, slowing down a bit as he catches sight of Hadyn sitting on the steps. After a moment of indecision, he stops, turning to the younger boy. "Hey, Hamlet. Something wrong?"

"Should something be wrong?" He asked, raising a brow slowly. "Though- you know I do have a name, right?" They weren't even easy to mistake for the other, either. But he wasn't going to point that out to Gaston.

"Least I'm finally remembering most of my lines."

"Well... do you always hang out around the theatre after practice is let out?" He hesitates, then takes a seat next to him, shrugging a shoulder.

"Right. Hadyn. I know. Sorry. So what's up, if there's nothing wrong?"

"Maybe I do," he said with a smirk, before taking another drag of his cigarette.

"Nothing, really." He said with shrug. "Just tired. I'd consider sleeping here, but frankly I think my back wouldn't survive." Pausing, he eyed Gaston. "What brings you back? Miss me already?"

"Those are going to kill you one of these days." Zoe managed to sound quietly amused, though, as she flopped down next to Hadyn and leaned back against her hands, eying him critically. He looked tired, which was understandable - and she'd only seen some of half of it.

"You've been around your boyfriend too long, you know." He said with a rye look. "And that might just kill you one of these days." Or so the rumors would like to suggest.

"It is a frequent refrain," she admitted, though it hadn't been heard as often since Elisha quit. "I think that's approximately as likely as Julien just killing Amy and hiding the body." She paused, raising a brow. "No, it's definitely a lot less likely than that."

Zoe turned to look at Hadyn, and then nudged him. "Turn. I'll see if I can work some of the knots out before your muscles petrify."

"Yeah, yeah." He said, but he turned as she instructed.

"You know, this little scene is gonna look awfully romantic. He won't have a problem with it, will he?" he said, with a grin over his shoulder.

Maggie has had quite the lovely evening. First her supplier had sent word that the castor beans she'd requested had finally been brought in. Then, on her way home from picking them up, she'd run into friends and stopped for dinner and drinks. Evenings spent with old lovers were always the best, fun, lovely and comfortable as old shoes.

Her pace slows when she catches sight of Hayden smoking on the steps. She hasn't spoken to him since she returned to the Deck, though she'd certain heard all about his exploits since. He'd been worried about Hamlet when they last spoke.

"Hello! I thought about you earlier today when I passed by here."

"Did you?" He asked, looking up at Maggie curiously before he glanced back at the theatre.

"There is a whole gaggle of people much more interesting than me to think of when you pass by, you know."

"Nonsense, Dear. How could a fellow Seven be anything but interesting? I wondered how you were getting on with Hamlet. You were concerned about your lines the last time we chatted."

"I can recall a fairly dull lot of sevens, honestly. But if you insist..." He said with a shrug and slight smirk.

"I've learned my lines, just a bit of stress finally kicked out the door."

"Mr. Novak."

He'd heard about Amy, of course - had even stumbled upon the erstwhile Two while out with Meghana earlier and managed to get a dig or two in on principle - and was almost tempted to pity her but for the fact that at least the damage she could do to them now was minimized.

Hadyn blinked, before he looked up and smirked a little at Nico. "Dr. Rhodes, I cannot say I was expecting you."

After all, the Theatre was in Heart's district, and frankly Spades didn't tend to wander through unless on business.

"Something in particular on your mind?"

"Getting some air." Among other things. He does, in fact, have some acquaintances - friends, even - outside of his Suit.

"Visiting friends. And you?"

"Smoking after a hard day's work." He said with a bit of a smile.

"Then perhaps looking for a bit of entertainment afterward." Maybe sneaking into Club Castle if he could muster the energy for it.
