hey kids - I can has summary? (p.s. I miss you)

I was perusing comments in a previous post and flippet had mentioned that she'd be interested in a general summary of events gone down this season. I'm sure a lot of us feel that way - I've gotten bits and pieces from friends, but don't really know anything concrete. Like I know Chase left, but I have no idea why or what happened.

Can anyone who's kept ( Read more... )

I'm feeling very sad for the people who had decided to "not" watch the finale... Seriously, I will never understand this :/

Why? Personally, I stopped watching because I no longer enjoyed the show. I'd rather remember the things I love then watch a show that barely resembles the show I fell in love with.

But you're not even curious about how it will end ? I personally always have to finish a show i started watching :)

I'm not really watching either, but I know that Chase got stabbed in the heart and as a result he was paralyzed? I tried to watch that episode, because I thought that it was the one called Chase. It wasn't and I didn't really make it through the whole ep. Chase was the only thing I still liked about the show (well, Jesse was, Chase killed Mufasa) and I couldn't even pay attention to him! Anyway, I'm curious as to how he managed to get paralyzed. So, if someone could answer that, I would be grateful. As far as I know, he quit because he was tired of living in House's shadow and wanted to move on. Also, the patient in that episode was a candidate for House's team and House picked Chase over him. I thought about watching that one, too, but lol, no. So, I don't really have the details, I'm afraid ( ... )

Oh and my answers to the poll: Well, I'm schizophrenic, so I'm apathetic and incredibly butthurt at the same time, I want a discussion post, because I must know what is happening, mostly out of curiosity and I don't know if I'll watch. I'm thinking that if I'm awake I will, but on the other hand at this point I can't even be bothered to ignore the ep as it plays on the background like I did last season. I just delete them halfway through. So, I have no idea.

Chase was stabbed and his heart lacerated. He had surgery to fix it and complained of being unable to feel his legs when he woke up. There was a clot blocking blood flow to his legs so he had surgery again to remove the embolism, and he regains the feeling in his legs, although he's worried that he might not be able to walk again. He starts rehab and manages it, although he does use crutches for a while.

Hope that helps.

Oh, I see. I thought it was stupid shit that didn't make sense, yet somehow made House responsible for the stabbing. Why did he get blamed, then?

No television + having to wait a week for FOX to put up episodes + general apathy at the boring storywriting this season + lack of Cuddy = somewhere in there I just stopped watching in the middle of this season.

I just don't know. I don't know what's happened, other than Wilson has cancer, apparently (and what, Chase left? I managed to avoid that one), and the only thing I know about the finale is that everyone's running around talking about how Lisa isn't coming back...well, let's just say, I probably won't be watching the finale. I just don't really care, but that apathy is also making me pretty sad. There's very few things that have been such a large part of my life that I just don't care about now.

I'll try and summarise as best I can, although I'm sure I'm missing things out ( ... )

and was lumped with Park, a med student.

To clarify, Park is not a med student. She is a fully trained neurologist. When we meet her in episode 8.02, she is working at PPTH in the neurology department. She has punched her boss, because he groped her. Foreman assigns her to work for House.

She is actually my second favorite fellow ever (second only to Chase). It's too bad we got only one season of her. She's a unique character and a lot of fun, IMO.

Oh, yeah, that's it; thanks for correcting me. I have to say, though, I really don't like Park. I tend to tune out whenever she's on screen! Each to their own, of course. I really miss Thirteen.

I don't think I've ever disliked a team member as much as Park. And I'll stop there before I get really insulting.

If you all really want to know what's going on before watching the finale, I recommend you watch from 8.17 onward (or at least, the final scene of 8.17 and then all episodes in full after that). These last episodes are House-Wilson heavy, and they're excellent. Some stupid plot holes, yes. But excellent House-Wilson scenes. HL and RSL have been amazing.

The finale Wilson arc is AMAZING.
I really enjoyed season 8 even if I really missed Cuddy, it was interesting, some great episodes, more patient/medical stuff :)
I also loved Park, she is so funny and really a unique character !
Too bad to see people only watched House for Huddy :(

I didn't only watch House for Huddy. My love for the ship was secondary, I was pulled in by the good writing. The ship grew to be a huge passion of mine, obviously, but it was never my only reason. When the writing got really lazy and things I loved about House as a character went out the window? Yeah, done.
