I was perusing comments in a previous post and flippet had mentioned that she'd be interested in a general summary of events gone down this season. I'm sure a lot of us feel that way - I've gotten bits and pieces from friends, but don't really know anything concrete. Like I know Chase left, but I have no idea why or what happened.

I've watched religiously this season although I miss Cuddy like crazy. On my LJ I've reviewed each episode in detail if you want to look there.

In a nutshell, the finale arc is great and everything else before that sucked donkey balls. Really, it's been disaster-tastic.

I've been spending this entire week rewatching old cast interviews and

- There was also the Dominika storyline. They fucked up the interview that would have granted Dominika her citizenship, the guy realised it was a green card marriage, but Dominika gave this (fake) speech about how she actually ended up loving House, etc. etc. They get a second chance, but that means the authorities might check up on them anytime, so Dominika has to actually move in. They end up actually liking each other and having a good time. So naturally, House fucks it up. He hides the letter that notifies Dominika that her citizenship was approved, because I guess he doesn't want her to go. She finds out just before they are about to have sex for the first time. She leaves

Same. I felt nothing except hatred for the lame dialogue. And that made me sad - the fact that I didn't feel anything.

My thought exactly! The worst thing about House the show was the wreckless disregard to the original core characters.

As a House fan the arc makes me really happy; as a Huddy shipper it pisses me off that TPTB apparently believe that House can care and get his head out of his ass - but not for Cuddy. The message is that House was obsessed [= addicted] to Cuddy, but didn't truly love her. He did whatever he did for her because he was scared of losing his vicodin replacement, so when he did lose her he had no compunction about hurting her. With Wilson it's different, because he truly loves him. It's their character, it's their story, it's their right to do that, but - I'm pissed. If they'd wanted to show House in a harmful, 'addictive' relationship they could have brought in a new character. They didn't have to ruin Cuddy and write her out of the show Thank you so much for that whole paragraph

I have been watching all this season but I don't even know what to put for 'cliffs notes.' Plus people got here before me summed it up and I don't want to be redundant. It's all been cheaper and emptier than fanfic without Cuddy. The team isn't the team anymore and now Wilson is fucking dying, for no legitimate reason. Do these people not want to give the guy whose girlfriend has already died a freak accident death a break? No, they want to kill him because they've run out of all other tribulations to put House through.

I'm scared for the finale. I'm feeling the show REALLY should have ended with Wilson's Heart or Help Me.
