So it's been a week since I apped Mai at RotIK, and that means I can app somebody new now!

The only question is who. Our candidates are Guy Gardner and Will Powers (y'know, the Steel Samurai). The effort required to finish the respective apps are about equal, as I haven't gotten a sample for Will yet, but I'm not ( Read more... )

There's a bit in 1-4, where, IIRC, Phoenix is asking Edgeworth why he abandoned his childhood dream of being an attorney like his father in order to become a prosecutor, and Edgey's response is... hold on let me grab it from the script. " My father was taken from me, and you want me to defend criminals? I'm sorry, Wright, but I'm not that good of a person!"

That wasn't when I decided to play him, but it was when I really suddenly sat up and took notice of him and started considering the possibility. Admittedly, it didn't take me long to decide on him after that, though, since it was the bit in 1-5 where Ema's in his office and talking about how it looks like it belongs to a real jerk and he walks in in the middle and then warns Phoenix that he's been known to be a real jerk sometimes that decided it.

tl;dr I'm a sucker for people who think they're worse people than they really are. Also he's a nice change of pace.

Booster is pretty much my favorite character ever. And his character's developed a lot over the 20 years or so he's been around, so a memory loss/regain game like ME is a great environment for him.

Pretty much any time he's ever welcomed a character to ME or, like, half of his interactions with Ginko, particularly the one they had when Tanyuu first showed up.

Oh, geez, I have so much fanon for Booster. I'm going to be a cheating cheater who cheats and just say everything I wrote here.

Oh, gosh, uh. Y'know, I'm not sure I ever had any solid reason for him, exactly. I just... wanted to play Grif, I guess. *Shrugs*

Oh, gosh, uh. He's had so much great shit in his time, it's really hard to choose, but I do have to say that I'm particularly fond of his response to this tag on dear_mun.

Kind of a tie here. I believe with all my heart that prior to being drafted for the army, Grif made his living primarily by means of being a professional con-man.

Alternatively, I believe that he is, in fact, kind of naturally talented at the whole soldier thing. Not, like, preternaturally so or anything, but enough that if he puts forth some token effort, he can roughly keep pace with someone who isn't talented but tries hard (like, say, Simmons). And if actually put any real effort ( ... )

I have seen the hamster thing before, back when you originally posted it in your journal itself. That does not make me immune to its adorable charms.
