Doing a test-curing today. The little tile pieces I was trying to make seem to like to stick to things a lot. I'm contemplating making several larger solid units rather than trying to attach lots of little scales to some kind of backing. We'll see ( Read more... ) -
So close! And yet so very far away.
This hurts. I got my tax refund in my checking account this morning. Hypothetically I have enough money right now to buy Chen.Or I really really have enough money to buy the BBB girl I want. And yet I know that I need that money pay bills and as a safety net since I don't know how long it will take me to find a job. I hate being an adult sometimes. -

Okay, so I have to say for the record that this is one of my first tries at working with Sculpey. I've used it once before but this is my first really serious adventure in this direction.
And now my hands are blue!
Right now the Sculpey is sitting in the fridge, cooling, so it will be less sticky.

short update.....
Spent all afternoon over at mmc_ningyouai's place. A fair amount of my time was spent dressing her boys (and Kitsu too!) which started to get fun and random and interesting toward the end, especially when I had the random inspiration to put Reno into Ygg's silver and black kimono-top-thing. I still want the Hound, I really do. Just not right away. I don't remember when exactly the change happened, it was sometime before school got out (so it's probably been a month or so.... Been doing a lot of idea scouting the past few days... trying to decide what I want to start sewing when I get back from my Memorial Day camping trip. I think Reno's gonna get some new pants pretty quick- I think I've got some nice cotton gauze scraps around here somewhere that I can use for a concept I'm cooking up.
