I've been thinking a lot about the Welcome Center since Emma--Miss Woodhouse, sorry--made some suggestions about it.  Some of her ideas were really strange, but it's so great that she's excited about making things better around here.  I don't think I've ever met anyone with that kind of enthusiasm.

The Center doesn't really do anything since I'm the worst organizer in the history of ever, but the idea is to help people out when they first get here... you know, set them up with a place to stay and food and things until they can find a job and go out on their own. I'd really, really like to make it more of a community center, though. That way, we could help everyone in the City who needs it.

It's nice of you to take an interest in it!

Really? Thank you, Freckles! You don't need to leave the Center if you don't want to... I mean, I know things've been a little weird since that thing with that one person. I think it's brave of you to stick around after all of that.

If he starts giving you trouble again and Tiger doesn't scare him off, will you let me know? You shouldn't have to be in an uncomfortable situation when you're doing me a huge favor.

I'm just glad there is something like a welcome center now. Before, especially for new arrivals, it was a lot more confusing.

I don't know if it makes things any less confusing right now. Maybe with time it'll be really helpful and do all of the things I want it to do.
