THANK YOU for clarifying which cemetery was used in THE GODFATHER!! I've been trying to figure this out for ages. (I'm sure I could have found this through a simple internet search, but when I lived in NY, my approach was just to ask taxi drivers who had lived in the city for a long time. None of them knew ( ... )

i never read les miserables, actually. i also loved animal farm and fahrenheit 451, although ray bradbury made me angry by claiming that the latter is not actually about censorship, but about tv making us stupid. um, ok, asshole.

Dude, pictures! Now I have this urge to get all gothed up and take really embarrassing cemetery photos like I'm 13 and think I'm cool.

That box is majestic. OMG. LUST. I don't collect many things, but wooden boxes are something I do collect, and oh man. I need to keep my eye out for Russian street vendors now.

AHAHAHAHA

... man, I found that whole cemetery drama thing so ridiculously stupid I didn't even pay attention. Now, perhaps lolitas are crawling all over things (I have seen a few pictures where it seems people don't pay attention to the DON'T TOUCH CRAP IN A MUSEUM) but... general hanging out/leaning on gravestones/sitting on them is just not shocking. (Dead people are dead, the dead people in most photogenic places have been dead for a very long time, gravestones are made out of stone, and lots of cultures party in graveyards anyway. I took my wedding photos sitting on top of my dead aunt, so she was included! Ha!)

DOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
I love the costumes. I don't know why I own a pink janitor's outfit.

But I do.

i don't care if people take pictures in graveyards, though i can see why others might get upset at people sitting on/crawling on tombstones, i guess. i mean, when i'm dead i'm sure not going to care, but some people are different.

my personal favorite is still the batgirl costume.

I'd imagine it'd be rude if there was a church service going on DURING the photoshoot, but barring that, I think it's kind of mildly crazy. (Particularly if the complaining party has ever gone to a museum with Egyptian exhibits, you know?)

But breathing could be considered offensive to some lolitas, sooooooooooooooo.

I should dress mine in costumes sometime -- I've fallen into a black-and-white rut. Uh. Cause I'm me.

My favorite that I have is Velma, actually. My brunette Blythe looks really appropriate in it.

i think what people don't like is the idea of strangers crawling on their relative's graves in particular. so then they extend this to all graves, all the time.

i enjoy egyptian things, but i do get a little creeped out at exhibits of stuff taken from grave sites. but yeah . . . it's all so long ago.

right now all the dolls are wearing azone lolita. i am lazy lately and haven't bought any new doll outfits.
