"How are you feeling?" Ender asked - his quips were all surface, no follow-through, sorry, Tony. He crossed the last few feet to Tony's side and pulled up a seat.
Other people could be quippy today; Stephanie didn't really have it in her at the moment.
"Oh, good, you're awake. Now yelling at you will be a lot more satisfying," she said as she came into the room and . . . immediately over to Tony's bedside, which didn't really make that whole yelling thing seem inevitable.
"... Sorry," bobby said sheepishly, belatedly realizing that not everyone went from the X-Men's rule book when it came to considering windows a normal sort of entry point. "I'm not the biggest fan of hospitals." Because everyone else loved them so much, really.
Steve had spent the night in an uncomfortable hospital chair, but it wasn't like he hadn't slept in far worse conditions.
"Well, it's good to see you looking slightly more alive," he said to Tony, and, "I want you to know I'm saving the lecture for when you're unmedicated enough to remember it." It was a long one. Just as a note.
