Coming to with a freaking breathing tube down your throat was possibly the least fun thing Tony could remember. Well. Okay, maybe that wasn't accurate anymore, but it definitely ranked in the top ten.
Once he'd become alert and struggled against the breathing tube, nurses had magically appeared to remove it and take more vitals than Tony felt were strictly necessary. After that, he was moved out of the ICU and to a more private room.
Whiplash, he remembered as he lay waiting for whatever came next. Gene, he remembered. His dad, he remembered.
Ugh, being unconscious was better than this.
