when not fretting over the politics of roller derby in the rogue valley, i concern myself with the impending sale of my house (also known as rancho relaxo, the place we've called home for four years) and with some significant changes that might affect my yoga studio and, naturally, my standard of living.
being an adult sucks. -
UPDATED update
as of today i will, in fact, be skating in the bout on saturday. apparently another member of the team just learned she is pregnant. so no skating for her.

trying not to get too upset
i sat down to write out some ventage about derby. getting it all out made me feel better, but it sure doesn't entertain the masses. so, the truncated version:
our league will have its first bout against an out-of-town league next weekend. the coach posted the list of players for that bout, and i'm not on it.

the recreational roller derby league spring season has come to an end. my team, gang green, ended the season in FIRST PLACE. as a matter of fact, we beat the heavily-favored bloody marys FOUR times. yes. FOUR. they only beat us twice, and those were our ONLY losses. i love my gang green girls. i must admit: i am sad to see our team disband.
