i wonder if he was already dead when i came home last wednesday... we walked eloise to school that morning and he did something strange. i text ian and alex at 8:04am: "hux got into a poop position and stayed in it for 5 minutes with his back legs ahead of his front. then he expelled brown liquid. it was bizarre." i had to tug on ( Read more... )

That made me cry. I can relate to so many of those feelings. I still cry tears over Satan and Lucifer and I light candles for them.

It was weird, they brought back so many memories of Satan and Lucifer when they were kittens. Still do :( But they also bring lots of joy.

I am so so so sorry. I too relate as the death of my dog (whom I also had for over ten years) was similar. We buried her in our yard and this year I planted a lilac bush over her, by her grave marker. HUGE HUGS!

When the vet gave her the shot I had my face up on hers smushed up on her nose.
aww. way to make me cry, dude. :[

nah, not long at all. it's comforting to know that people have gone through the same thing at some point. obviously not the losing someone you love part, but the whole experience of having an animal companion. she sounds like she was an awesome dog. it's incredible how they sense changes with us. huxley's behavior around me changed completely when i was pregnant with eloise and he was a total freak when i went into labor. i hope you'll take pics at some point and i'd love to see a pic of her too. maybe it's morbid but i like the idea of their bodies nourishing the earth and the plants above them.
