Its funny cause I didn't really "get it" at first then realized the scene pops off exactly from the 1986 original Fight for your Life Vid...duh! Elijah and Seth Rogan strutting and lumbering and wiggling down the street slay me!! When the back to the future car comes in and the NOW real beastie boys come out, AD taller and greyer and Jack Black and his gut...*giggles insanely*. It is a torrent of guy favorites of "balls" and Fbombs and oh...the piss fight. GROSS but that is what guys fanticize about I imagine in cutting loose. Just like a dog marking its territory (damn Nikki the older yorkie comes over wiht Christine and pees on my couchthrow every damn time). I just watched the BB video and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, too. It was such good fun, and so many celebs in it! Was the maitre d' played by Ted Danson? Maybe not, but maybe!

Aw no, it's just from my own experience with guys. There IS a common thread in both sexes; Pan's told me a LOT. He's nowhere near this level of mad or wild, but he understands it, has seen it, etc. Girls can do the same shit, but Lij is a 'guy', y'know? LOL.

Yea, it's all about tastes, really. I'd never been all that into rap in my early teens, but since then, I've found a supreme appreciation for it. Arrested Development was my first big rap-fave, then came BBs, Public Enemy, a few others. Ice Cube's song on Paul Oakenfold's album caught my attention big time (it's also featured in two of Josh's movies), and it's the most misogynistic song EVAR--but that doesn't stop me from blasting out the lyrics while listening to it at work/driving, etc. Chris Rock talked about that--how girls will get down to badass rap that features girl-bashing and not care, just as long as it's got a good beat, lol. Not much can get me yelling, "Now you can get dick, but you can't get no DNA!" while driving, LMAO

I really enjoyed his 'rap' bopping down the street and I do think 90% of this persona is Elijah being a terrific actor/mimic. He probably watched clips of Ad for like 12 hours straight and got him DOWN PAT. Another part that was pure Elijah to me and so endearing was the fluid, floppy way he traveled down those stairs at the beginning. Boneless boy!!!
