She probably should mingle, since people don't usually attend parties just to be a wallflower, but....ngk. So many people were does she even start.]

I don't think that's a magic I've seen before.

It's a...very specific kind of magic. It's the power of Ormazd, the God of light.

The hard part was tracking down Whistler and getting her to come. She was all but 'allergic' to parties or anything remotely fun. But she was also prone to giving into his whining if he did it long enough. He was after all a very convincing guy. Convincing, or annoying. Either one did the trick.
So all but dragging Abbi into the room King smiled and looked around at all the new plants and trees that had taken over the main hall. He smirked back at the other hunter. "See Whistler? It's not often you get to go to a..whatever this is called. We might as well enjoy it while we can." He was determined to get her involved in as much as he could.

"You might have some fun, but I doubt that I'll have any." Yes, she was still in a bitchy mood for him pulling her away from the comforts of her room.

"Not if you're going to be in angry mode all night." He moved to stand in front of her and placed his hands on her shoulders. A bold move but he was willing to risk the safety of both of his hands to ensure his sincerity.
"Look, there's no vampires around. We're stuck on this caravan until we can find a way home. We might as well enjoy it, right? I promise to make sure you have even a scrap of fun. And if not, you can go back to your room and I won't say a goddamn word for the rest of the trip." Obviously a lie, but that wasn't important right now.

"Alright, alright. I'm going to try having some fun, but I can't and wont' promise anything." She shrugged his hands off her shoulders and crossed her arms in front of herself. "So, what are we going to do?"

"I see you're still in one piece," she began. "And eating--that's good. I don't believe I caught your name last night. I'm Elika, and you are?"

Swallowing the piece of sushi he'd finished chewing on, he maintained his expression of stone as he acknowledged her with a nod. "Walter. Well met -- I don't intend on dying anytime soon."
Reply
"Pleased to meet you, Walter, and I'm pleased to hear that. I'm assuming you spent the night at the infirmary? The bandages weren't too uncomfortable, were they?" She wanted to make sure she'd done a decent job--if only in case she'd ever have to do it again.

After a few tense moments, he finally manages to get everything onto the table without spilling anything.]
Well, that wasn't too bad.

Nice balancing act there.

[He shrugs, looking around as he takes one of his sandwiches and starts eating.]
Did a pretty good job on this place. Seriously, how'd they manage to stick a whole forest in here?

[He leans lightly against the table, surveying the foliage and diverse display of flora. Flowers of all different shades, vines, bamboo trees seemingly sprouting up from nowhere. He smiled.]
This is what people needed I think. To relax and just forget for a few hours--that's what parties do...

Still... It was amazing to be so surrounded. And they were real, weird as it was. She had been so tempted to even go through with taking her sandals off, and wandering around the garden grass in bare feet. Unfortunately when she'd gotten here, she'd only arrived with one outfit, and her packed pajamas. All her casual clothes, she assumed, were back home.
If anyone were so inclined to come up and say hello, Sakura would be sitting, back to one of the trees, munching on a few grapes and just.. enjoying everything.]
