I now foresee an eventual war over ownership of the moon.

A recent insurance study quantified the average driving skill for the population of citizens in each state. Being a quality engineer...I found the color of these states in an attempt to correlate driving skills and politics.

The red states average 84.2, a small 1.8 margin over the blue states at 82.4.

It is also interesting that the ten states with the top population density average 80.35 for driving skills...while the states that are least densely populated average 85.2 for driving skills.  A very significant 5 point difference!!

Also:  The 6 states with the worst driving skills are also the 6 most densely populated states.

I just learned it is unlawful to walk across the state lines of Minnesota with a duck upon your head. This was, coincidentally, one of my life long dreams...destroyed by man's rules. What kind of trauma would something like that cause ( Read more... )

I walked into my office today: "Bldg 2 Key" I think I'm going to be here a while. I like that.

A few weeks ago I asked a long time worker at my company how he was doing.

"It is 20 minutes till Beer-Thirty!"

Ever since...I've been making it a point to get him to say Beer-Thirty again by asking him how he's doing a bit before 3:30. He's said it twice!!

I love this phrase.
