OK, so Tuesday I'm flying to Seattle. From Hartford. Via Atlanta. Because that's what's available on Delta before Christmas Eve.
The hilarious part is that back when I was in college, I would get up at a ridiculous hour to catch the Metro-North, then connect to a subway, then connect to a bus, to get to JFK by mid-afternoon for my long-ass

Also, I basically grew up in the Atlanta airport. If you're stuck there for any length of time, Terminal B is the place to hang. There's a good easily-overlooked sandwich shop called Marche Bistro Cafe and Bar that's tucked away inside Atlanta Booksellers in the middle of the concourse, right next to TGI Friday's (#9 and #38 on this map). You can get your food, grab a copy of a magazine or book to "peruse", and sit down at a table with a view of the tarmac (provided they haven't moved shelves in front of the windows again).
