Raenef - Demon Diary

A young blond boy appears in the Sorting Room, looking decidedly confused. He looks around, puzzled, for a few minutes before appearing to dismiss the problem, gaining a big, friendly smile and picking up the application.

"Hi, I'm Raenef. Nice to meet you."

'When you say 'castle',' Rumpleteazer purrs, 'Do you mean tha' in the sense that every Englishman's 'ome is his castle, or are y'not English and you really do 'ave a castle?'

...It's a talking cat. A cat that was talking to him. Well, it was less strange than a talking book, and he hadn't freaked out over that. Much.

"I don't think I'm English. I don't know what it means so I'd say it's a fairly good bet that I'm not. But it is an actual castle."

Good. He probably won't have heard of her.
An actual castle, however? He must be loaded.

'I'm Rumpleteazer,' she offers, curiously trying to get his scent. 'I live in a junkyard.'

((I don't mind. Raenef used to be a thief himself, but he can still be really naive and oblivious to things. Shouldn't go too badly unless Eclipse finds out since he can be rather protective of Raenef))

"A junkyard? Is that usual for cats?"

"How do you kill the people who go into your castle without asking?" Gogo asks, curious.

"With a magic spell. Not that I've actually done it yet. Only the one person has actually done it, and she convinced me that it would be better to employ her to take the place of the guards she killed on the way in instead."

Gogo had been about to comment on the pointlessness of not killing the intruder after all, but then she thinks about it. "If she managed to kill them all... that makes sense. Is she very good, or were they very stupid?"

"She's a Sword Master. Not that I knew that at the time, but yeah. She is very good. And the guards were dragon like things called Crusaders, summoned creatures. I'm not actually sure how bright they are."

"...You are? That's nice..."

"Oh. Good." Thinks for a minute, wondering what on earth its going to do next. "Is there anything you'd like?"

"Not on me, but if that's what you want I could probably try and find you some."

That would be smashing. The name's Sirius Black. Of the application question.

Where are you from?

"Okay. I'll do my best." Now he just needs to work out where to get it. There might be some back at the castle, but he wasn't sure Eclipse would let him near it.

My castle's to the north. East of Kontreo and north of Heluta.

((Can't remember if it actually says where the castle is in the book. It usually just calls it the Demon Lord's castle))
