Ok, this was just weird, even for her. Of all the bizzare places they could have landed, the Doctor landed them smack in the middle of a castle. Figures. His aim was always off when he piloted the TARDIS. It might travel through time and space, but precision was not it's strongest suit.

((ZOMG DONNA!))

A crazy man zoomed in on a flying carpet and began to speak rapidly in a thick German accent. "Excooze, please, but haff you seen pigeon answering to name of Vinston? Eez vhite viz black markings on vings, good sense of rhythm. Sound familiar, pretty lady?" He eyed her red hair (and maybe her breasts) with interest. "Say, do you sing und dance?"

She eyed him, her hands planted firmly on her hips. A deranged German on a flying carpet would have ranked pretty high on her weird-o-meter before she met the Doctor. But compared to their more recent adventures, this was a hardly what she'd call bizzare.

"Dance? Sing? Do I look like a bloody German chorus girl? Where the hell am I? Have you seen the Doctor or a great blue police box? He's gotten himself lost again and I need to find him."

Turlough's ears pricked up at one word.

"Doctor?"

Donna whirled. "Yes. The Doctor. Skinny, daft spaceman, have you seen him?"

He was in SO much trouble when she found him.

"Not since I myself got here. And I'd bet good money your Doctor looks different from mine."

"Different? What do you mean different? He wears the same bloody thing every day."

Breathe deep. Ignore the fresh beating heart.

She'd really prefer if there was someone to introduce them, but as long as they were stuck in sorting, she might as well speak.

"Hello there, I assume you don't know why you're here." It was a soft voice, with an Uberwaldean accent.

The accent was a little weird, but humanoid made for a good start.

"Not yet. I've been told that it has something to do with a cracked hat. He has my friend as some kind of hostage or prisoner as popcorn of all things! How do we get out of here?"

"If anyone I've talked to can be trusted, you can't. You could attempt to bribe your way out, if you have anything of value. I'm not sure a heroic rush at the guards would accomplish anything until we know more about the place- I don't know about you, but if someone manages to kidnap me I want to know all about them I can. But I do go on! Tell me about your friend."

"Bribe? Oh fantastic," she muttered.

Guess what the mun forgot on the application?

"He's the Doctor, a half-lunatic spaceman and my best friend. I've found out that this hat is holding him in some kind of popcorn prison. He's always getting into trouble and since I'm here, I'd better get him out."

Did someone mention aliens?

"Hello, human! You sound like you're from a time when humans had made contact with other species- that's pretty rare here. You haven't heard of the Vux, I assume?" Really it would be a good thing if she hadn't.

Luckily, Donna had already been exposed to some non-human aliens, so Zex's appearance didn't startle her. After all, she had seen the Ood, who carried part of their brain in one hand. And there was the giant wasp..

"It's more thanks to the Doctor than the time when all humans have seen aliens. I haven't heard him talk about the Vux, but he does tend to go on a mile a minute."

"Really?" Zex perked a little, hearing she hadn't heard of the Vux. "Then other species are all new to you, then. This is very exciting!
You were taken by the Hat as well, I suppose. It's good here, but I miss my family." Zex drooped unmistakably and made a complicated motion with one tentacle. Just thinking about his abandoned menagerie and petting zoo dampened his spirits.

"However, I'm one of the Heads of Raveclaw, so that's something."

"Well according to the Doctor, there are a lot of species out there, so I guess I haven't met them all. What's a Ravenclaw?"

"I haven't met many other doctors around here, and I'm sure I'm not the one you're looking for, as much as I'd like to be." He was an affable man, tallish, with thinning hair and a Danish accent. "Snape hasn't got a medical degree. Who did you have in mind?"

Ooh, a handsome blonde doctor.

"I.. no. He's not a medical, proper sort of doctor. He's just.. the Doctor. A Time Lord, flies around in a blue box called the TARDIS. I'm sorry.. what's a snape?"
