((OOC: Jing is taken from the anime King of Bandit Jing mostly because the mun doesn't have the manga yet, again anymore. Age wise, he's referred to many times as a 'kid' and 'boy.' The only thing for sure is he's under 20 and more than 10 [there's a flash back to when he was 10 and he doesn't argue when he's told he shouldn't be doing something ( Read more... )

Wishbone laughed. You can't offer the sun and the solar system! They're too big!

"But, I've stolen the Sun and Mercury before. How much harder can the whole solar system be? I saw the box they were stored in." Jing smiles. Where he's from, people come in many shapes and sizes so a talking dog really isn't that weird for him.

They can't fit in boxes!

Jing squatted so he was closer to eye level with the dog. "I have seen them fit into boxes. I stole the Sun and Mercury to complete the collection for a client, a friend of mine. The Sun would not fit in the box, but the rest to."

"We've already proved we're not useless. It's your turn."

"You've not proved it to me," Jing replies, holding his hand up in front of him, palm facing him.

((OOC: something from Turlough's pocket...Jing is a thief, after all ;) ))

Turlough raised his eyebrow. So the bastard's a bit of a thief, huh? Taking some candy he had in his pocket.

Turlough snatched the candy back. "I'm not the important one. Make the Sorting Hat prove his worth, he's the one that decides if you stay or not."

"Well, if you only want the candy back, that's fine," Jing says, sliding his hand into his pocket. He doesn't actually have anything, but that is really beside the point. "Tell me more about this 'Sorting Hat' character and I'll give it back."

Nny had been avoiding the sorting room in favor of skulking in dark hallways, but something about this application caught his attention.

"The moon. I want the moon."

It'd go well with Tasmania Devinesia.

Jing tilts his head and then smiles, reaching under his cloak and drawing out a round rock roughly the size of both his fists. It floats above his hand when free of the confines of his coat. "The moon," he says, holding it out to the other person.

He looked at the rock warily, then reached for it. It floated above Nny's hand as readily as it had above Jing's.

It appeared, to every detail, the same as the moon. Apart from the portable size, of course.

This was not a time for speeches. If Nny let himself turn vocal, get drawn into conversation, he'd need to get violent again, and all those trips off-campus were tiring. So he merely dashed off with his new toy.

Jing watches the other man go. he wonders for a moment what he'd lost and hopes that he'll find whatever it is. It is rare that he steals anything from someone without somehow leaving them with more than they lost.

Kurama could smell another thief from miles away. A good thief, though, that took expert finding. And expert was his way, so Jing he found in the sorting room.

He smiled, the expression not reaching his eyes, which were more searching that welcoming.

Jing knows other thieves. It is natural, after all, to be able to spot one of his kind. He waves merrily at the tall, silver haired thief across the room. This would be entertaining.

"And now there are two," his eyes start to reflect his smile, but only a little. "Bandit, burglar, or pickpocket?"

"Yes," Jing replies. His gaze travels up and down Kurama. "As are you," he replies, his hand sliding into his pocket.

"You're not supposed to tie up the person you're marrying!" Wolfram said haughtily. "If you have to, you're not a very good husband." If he understood the double entendre hidden in his comment, he did not acknowledge it.

Jing looks at this newcomer and bites back a laugh. "But, what if they want to be tied up?" he asks innocently.

"Well then I'll obviously tie him up to the best of my ability, and then track down the wizard who is attempting to possess him. That's the only reason I could think of that he'd want to be tied up."

kingbandit December 10 2008, 23:56:03 UTC
"That would probably it," Jing agrees easily. It is becoming more difficult not to laugh, though. "I don't want to be tied, but I know people who are."
