Application for Jing from King of Bandit Jing

((OOC: Jing is taken from the anime King of Bandit Jing mostly because the mun doesn't have the manga yet, again anymore. Age wise, he's referred to many times as a 'kid' and 'boy.' The only thing for sure is he's under 20 and more than 10 [there's a flash back to when he was 10 and he doesn't argue when he's told he shouldn't be doing something ( Read more... )

"You're not supposed to tie up the person you're marrying!" Wolfram said haughtily. "If you have to, you're not a very good husband." If he understood the double entendre hidden in his comment, he did not acknowledge it.

Jing looks at this newcomer and bites back a laugh. "But, what if they want to be tied up?" he asks innocently.

"Well then I'll obviously tie him up to the best of my ability, and then track down the wizard who is attempting to possess him. That's the only reason I could think of that he'd want to be tied up."

"That would probably it," Jing agrees easily. It is becoming more difficult not to laugh, though. "I don't want to be tied, but I know people who are."

"I understand that humans have the term 'fit to be tied,'" Wolfram admitted. "Perhaps that's who you're thinking of."

Jing tilts his head, examining the contents of his hand a moment before pocketing them. "Perhaps you're right," he smiles.

((ooc: just something innocuous from Wolfram's pocket))

((Wolfram probably would not be standing close enough to Jing for him to successfully pick-pocket without being noticed, and he is not currently keeping anything in his pockets (Allow his trousers to become an insult to aesthetics? Never, he was taught better!) It's a good idea to ask permission of a mun before your character commits any action toward a character. It prevents confusion when that action is impossible.))

"Of course I am!" Wolfram proclaimed. "I am quite experienced in being correct. I am very intelligent and very assertive, so others soon learn that it will be useless to continue being wrong." It was clear from Wolfram's body-language that being 'right' perhaps translated to 'I yell the loudest.'

"I used to believe that human married couples enjoyed tying each other up for additional purposes, but my fiance convinced me at the book was incorrect." The book, mind.

((OOC: canon has Jing stealing things out of someone's mouth without being noticed, but if there's nothing in his pockets, then there is nothing in his pocket.))

Jing couldn't keep back his snickering anymore. He covered his mouth, trying to mask it as a cough, knowing this boy would take it wrong. He rubbed his mouth and managed to say, "I see."

((I'm not disputing the character's canon abilities at all. The point isn't that he can or can't do this -- Wolfram, for his part, can dress three ruffians down to their boxers in the space of seconds using just his sword -- but that I didn't give OOC consent for it, and that in this instance it wouldn't be possible anyway. hogwarts_hocus's rule against doing things to other people's characters without OOC consent is meant to prevent this kind of misunderstanding. Anyways, I'm happy to continue with the scene; I just wanted to clarify what I meant.))

"Therefore marriage is not designed to tie anyone down at all. Instead it is a blessed institution. My mother was married three times, after all, and she-" Wolfram considered some of his mother's outfits, one of which included a red corset and a whip. He grew less certain about the absence of bondage in marriage. He amended his statement, "If there is any tying down in marriage, then I suppose that it's only the kind that is welcomed."

Jing tilts his head slightly, his hand still over his mouth so that the gesture may be construed as a nod. It takes a moment before he's able to speak. "Which is not something I'd like," he sputters.

"Then obviously there won't be any in your marriage!" Wolfram argued.

Jing couldn't help it. "And in yours?" he asked, struggling not to laugh.

Wolfram gave Jing his version of a 'Death Glare.' "You are obviously not a Hufflepuff. You may be nosy enough for a Ravenclaw."

Considering Wolfram's hatred of a certain Ravenclaw, this might be akin to insulting Jing's mother and face at the SAME time.

Jing is blissfully unaware of Wolfram's prejudices. "That is something I've heard." He bows slightly, ironically. "Thank you. And, may your marriage be as happy as you deserve." Which, might, on the scale of things, be just as insulting as Wolfram's remark.
