Near's expression was unreadable. Shinigami were notoriously untrustworthy, and he wasn't about to give anything away to one.

Sidoh backed away slightly, this small, white-haired human was kind of weird, well more like intimidating weird.

"Ahhh hey there," Sidoh said, a little surprised. "you, ah, you know what I am?"

"You did say so in the application," Near pointed out. "And I know of your kind."

"Oh," he looks on the application "I did didn't I and how do you know shinigami. I guess we're more popular than I thought."

"Oh, hey! Didn't expect you here."

"Ryuk! You're here too? Wow you're busy."

He keeps his arms folded a little tighter around him, making sure his Death Note is protected.

"Oh, don't worry, your Death Note doesn't even work here. There's a no kill rule."

"What? Wow that's weird" It's not as if Sidoh writes many names down anyway, but he thinks he wrote enough down, ah whatever. "What is this place anyway?"

Now you HAVE to be a ghost!

The dog was talking to him.
Was this a shinigami? No, couldn't be. Maybe it was posessed...that was bad.
Then it mentioned...
"GHOST! WHERE!" he jumps up and looks all around him before calming down. "Oh...m-me? No no no, I'm not a ghost, I'm a shinigami...are you a g-g-ghost, Mr. Talking Dog?"

No, silly. I'm Wishbone! You're a shinigami? So was Rem! But I don't think she's here anymore.

Sidoh crouches down, looking closer at Wishbone. He's seen weirder.
"Ah, hi Wishbone," he said. "Yep, I'm a shinigami."

The dog said a name, wait why does that sound familiar. Rem?

"Oh that spongy white female Ryuk told me about but...wait isn't she.." he makes a squeaking sound and clamps his maw for a second. "Oh...not here anymore. Well that sucks."

"It was your Death Note I got killed for, wasn't it."

Wow, this guy didn't sound too happy. It took Sidoh a second to remember what he was talking about.

"Oh, jeez, you were one of the cops that stormed the mafia. Wait...you're dead? Uhh, then why are you...oh you're a ghost aren't you." He visibly shivers and backs away.

"No. If I was, you'd have bigger problems than an irate cop."

He's still not buying this guy's not a ghost, but he looks human enough, it's enough to make Sidoh relax a bit.

"Damn...uh...sorry you got killed. Uh, my sympathies and all that."

(This is Sidoh being sincere...yeah)

"Jesus!" After getting about a day of sleep, Caron got dressed and decided to look around a bit. Problem was, he only really know how to get from the Sorting Room to Ravenclaw. So he just went back to the Sorting Room.

Bad idea. Now he has no clue what he's looking at.

Sidoh was used to that reaction, it was kind of fun to watch.

"How's it goin."

"The hell are you?" Caron's never seen anything like that before.

"Weird, someone who doesn't know what I am. Well I'm a shinigami, also called a death god. I'm not from around here."
