Must have picked the wrong portal to the human world. Armo Justin, or Justin Armonia...ah screw it, the jeweled skull, said it was ok for him to go into the human world for a little while to tail a victim. He just wanted to be through

The only shinigami Mikami actually met was Ryuk, of course. He doesn't even know for sure that Sidoh is connected to his world. Presumably, other universes could have other versions of the shinigami realm, and Sidoh hasn't mentioned anything to do with Kira on the form.

"Wow a lot of you guys must know about us. You must know Ryuk, he's social isn't he."

"Wow he does get around. I won't ask if you guys are buddies, I'm not really allowed to."

"You, too," I say, leaning against one of the pillars in the room. This place pulls in the weirdest ones and most useless ones from our...timeframe. Just what we needed another shinigami.

Holy crap! Mello was here! Must. Look. Calm.

"Ahhh hey M-M-Mello," Sidoh said, shivering more than he wanted to. "How g-goes it?"

"Scared of something?" I ask, pulling out a chocolate bar. "Or is that tremor some new thing?" I add.

He pulls himself together rather quickly....ok pulling himself together is a relative term.

"Aww neither, it's just a little cold in here, shinigami have comfort levels too. So how's it goin' Mello?"

He kind of knows the answer already, but it's conversation kinda.

"Another 'god of death'," Sadako said with derision, rolling her eyes behind her curtain of dripping hair. "What a pretentious title. You don't have to be a god to kill."

Sidoh gives a little yelp and hops away from her. He's not even going to ask how she knows about death gods. Now if anyone was a ghost, he is convinced it's her.

"Umm...umm Well, that's just what we are. We didn't choose what we were called."

"Death bug, I would say in your case. Death worm. Don't you agree?"

"Well I don't like bugs and worms, they're gross and I don't think they're like us."

He had a faint idea he was being insulted, but the idea kind of flew away.

Haruka's first reaction to the...thing...in the Sorting Room was to keep walking past the door, find a private spot to change, and then return to question it as a Senshi rather than as a civilian. She held her sword lazily as she sauntered up to the...thing. Sure, she couldn't kill it here, but if it tried anything she could sure make it wish it was dead. Uranus was practical. No-one ever said she was nice (except Michiru and Usagi, but they're biased).

"So, 'shinigami' are what you things are called this time round, huh?" she drawled. A little pretentious, but no more so than 'daimon,' really.

Wow, this woman looked mean. Cute, but mean. Sidoh took a couple steps away.

"Yeah we're called shinigami, I don't know who came up with the name maybe the King or something. Death god and reaper works too."

Uranus narrowed her eyes. "King who? Of what?"

King was a new one - the leaders of the group wanting to take over the world weren't normally male, although they'd have high-ranking male lackeys. Maybe this is what this King was - although the 'King' did imply the leader. More information was definately required, and this...shinigami...appeared to be more useful than the run-of-the-mill monsters.

Sidoh clamped his jaw for a second. Was it not ok to mention the king? He opened the scroll again and looked through it. Unless the king was posessing another human he had to keep his mouth shut and that possibility was laughable.
"Ahh the king of the shinigami, the old man, he is kind of the most powerful shinigami."

"I would go to that bar," murmured Luna. "I think it would be funny." She eyed the skulls. "I'd like one of those. It looks like it would be a great accessory."

"Really? Yeah we look kind of funny when we can't be seen...I mean all the floating stuff." This girl seemed really nice so Sidoh was a little less nervous. "Accessory, yeah those would look pretty cool. They're usually used for gambling."
