After having to contain the results of the last offering of unattended food in the Great Hall, Gwendal wanted to make sure that the Maou did not try to apologize by offering more food in the Great Hall. He entered the room, crossed his arms over his chest and looked for signs of his majesty lingering around.

A looked up and smiled a little uncertainly. He'd never met Gwendal, and the man didn't seem entirely friendly.

Gwendal blinked at the boy. "Did anyone, like an overly enthusiastic boy with black hair and eyes, ask you to do this?" he asked. It wasn't the best description of the Maou, but it would work for now.

"Who?" A merely looked confused. "I, I felt like cooking. I had a lot of pumpkin left over, and some pears, and the zucchini was producing a lot, and there were plenty of mangosteens coming in. So I made snacks, for anyone who wanted some."

Seeing the sign, Rika figures that she doesn't have to ask permission to take a snack or pay for it, so she takes a piece of zucchini bread from the table.

"Is Light the son of Soichiro Yagami?" she asks, looking up at A, before taking a bite from the bread.

River snuck up behind A, plucking a bowl of sorbet from the table. Rui wen was with her today, the kittens having played themselves into an exhausted, fluffy heap on her bed. She ate her sorbet quietly and watched A move around and talk to his various visitors, a smile growing on her face.

When A caught sight of River, he beamed. "I cooked," he told her unnecessarily. "I had so much zucchini, I thought I'd make zucchini bread, and there were the pears, and the pumpkins, and the mangosteens..."

"I'm cleaning my palate," she said around a mouthful of sorbet, "so I can taste everything." She had no doubt it would all be delicious, and was definitely looking forward to the pear cider.
