Sign-ups for... special tutoring

Nov 06, 2008 23:20

Amaranth was sitting in the compy lab, idly trying to figure out how to actually type with a keyboard instead of gazing through crystal balls like she would have back home. She was wearing a sandwich board as her token attempt at clothing. On the back of the board had been written a sign that read ( Read more... )

Dieter Prohl

New tips always welcome!

Why Dieter had come in, signed up, and not said anything was a mystery.

Soichiro had heard of the computer lab and decided to check it out. Seeing a person in the lab, he thought nothing of it at first.

Then he read the sign.

"Young lady!" He yelled, scandalized beyond belief. "You shouldn't advertise such things!" And upon realizing that the sign was all she was wearing, "and put on some clothes!"

Amaranth did not look up from her computer. "Why?" she asked placidly. "Are you also offering yourself as a tutor on those subjects? I'm so sorry. I didn't realize."

Soichiro sputtered. "No! There are impressionable people here that do not need to be seeing or hearing this!"

"Well, then impressionable people don't have to sign up for any lessons," Amaranth pointed out in what she hoped was a reasonable tone.

It would be even more worth it if he could have been there to see his face, but Turlough would have to settle for imagining it.

Dwight Schrute
Be thorough and ignore my protests to stop. Dubious consent is one of my kinks.

Luckily, she never noticed that he had been behind her, or that he signed someone else up.

He quickly moved to the doorway, making it look like he just came in and saw the sign. "Interesting."

Dwight was minding his own business, having gone to the compy to try to figure out if Shin Makoku had any specific paper product needs. He noticed Turlough lurking in the doorway and glowered a greeting, and was about to move on past when he spotted the sign.

Irritated, he removed a ballpoint pen from his breast pocket and wrote:

Vislor Turlough
I have a small penis so I need all the help I can get.

"Forgery, Mr. Schrute? I'm afraid that is just grounds for a detention," he said, right into Dwight's ear.

Working computers and a nearly naked woman? Some things were better in pairs.

His explorations of the castle had finally brought Bond to the compy lab, and it had been worth the trip. Watching Amaranth work the keyboard made him want to step in and lend a hand. "Do you need help with your fingering?" he asked her, motioning towards the keyboard.

"I'd love a more hands-on approach to this stuff," Amaranth said with a sultry smile. She pushed her chair over to one side to give Bond room. In the process, she revealed that the front of her sandwich board contained the legend:
Get a taste of religion. Lick a nymph.

He took a moment to read her sign, then grabbed a chair of his own. "It can take a while to get the coordination down," James said, scooting the chair closer so that he could easily reach the keys.

"You start like this." He placed his left hand over hers, positioning the fingers on the home row. "Then the other hand goes here." Bond slid his right hand between her arms and guided her other hand. The tight space meant that his shoulder was pressed up against her. "When you've got your fingers in the right place, everything is much quicker and easier."

Amaranth took full advangate of their proximity to press herself as close to him as she could. "Oooh," she sighed. "That does make things a lot easier." She let her hands caress the keyboard for a moment as she got her bearings. "Oh yes. This will work nicely," she decided.

The cereal nymph was the last person Hook would've expected to see in a computer lab. Inwardly he chided himself for his silly assumptions. Why shouldn't an agricultural worker be technologically literate?

"Hej. Looks like you found a solution to the clothing dilemma. Clever!" The compliment was sincere.

Amaranth smiled warmly. "I thought it was a good idea," she said. "That way I can be a walking advertisement. I mean, if people are going to look anyway, they might as well not waste the opportunity, right?"

"You ought to talk to those Weasley boys. They own a business, I hear." Hook hoped Amaranth meant actual advertisements for businesses, not ... advertisements for the services Amaranth herself provided gratis. "So how is Hogwarts treating you thus far?"

"I like it a lot so far," Amaranth admitted. "I still seem to scandalize people just by existing, but eventually they'll get used to me." She produced a notepad and pencil from Away and jotted down a note to consult the Weasleys. "Thanks for the suggestion," she told him. "I'd be happy to use this covering as an advertisement for anything people need to be made aware of."
