Amaranth gave the woman one of her normal sunny smiles. "Well, my friend Two was doing research once about demons," she said. "And she got hit with demon fire, so I had to try and heal her. It didn't work too well, though, because I'm just not that experienced a healer, so we had to take her to the healing center and let someone else take care of her. But everything's fine now, so that's good."

Silmeria nodded.

"It may be worth your time to gain that experience. You never know when it can be to your advantage later on. Though I am not practiced in the art of healing, I would not mind doing what I could to assist you learn."

Amaranth nodded. "I'd like that," she said eagerly. "All knowledge is useful, and all experience is important."

This was Dieter's lucky day.

The tall German had come straight from one sorting to the other. Barely wearing more than Amaranth, he felt a bit of kinship with another naked being.

"You have to have a moral exemption to be naked?" he asked. He just... did it every day. It was a state of being.

Amaranth grinned broadly at Dieter. "The university is only trying to protect the feelings of all its students," she said loyally. "But, really, it is silly that I have to point this out far more than I should. It's not like anyone is forced to look--although I like it when they do."

Then I had to apologize--a lot--to Mother Khaele and promise never to do it again. In the meantime, I'm always ready to repeat the experience, provided we can find some Vegan cheese."

"Vegan cheese may not be hard to come by," he said. "You may not have much difficulty procuring a partner, either." If it was an offer, it was hard to tell. His face was blank and his tone was conversational. "Have you considered trying it with vegan chocolate?"

Amaranth was definitely, like most other red-blooded women, intrigued by Bond. "Mmm. That sounds really good," she asserted. "I'll definitely have to try it sometime."

Severus has taken to coming by the Sorting Room with some regularity, making it a feature of his hallway patrols.

When he hears the answers to the questions, he vaguely suspects someone is making fun of his recent class. But he doesn't recognise the name. Or body. She has no clothes, and this is apparently perfectly acceptable in which ever strange world from which she has come. He averts his eyes nevertheless. They are drawn back.

His voice has a small note of defensiveness. "I am Professor Snape, Head of the Hospital Wing. I hope you are well-educated in matters of sexual education. You missed our recent class, but as you seem unashamed, uninhibited and unclothed, it is my duty to inform you we have all manner of potions, spells and muggle artefacts for contraception, lubrication and other... needs. We do not intend to have any wandering children, any spread of disease, or any... unfortunate mishaps."

Amaranth smiled cheerfully at this man, too. "Thank you for the heads up," she said. "Believe me, I have no interest in having children of my own right now. And nymphs don't get those sorts of human diseases, but if I ever get concerned, I will definitely stop by and pick up some potions and Rings of Protection if you've got them."

Rings of protection. Severus is familiar with cock rings. But that is hardly protection. He hesitates to display his lack of knowledge - perhaps Hook will be able to acquire some. "I also have a display of helpful diagrams. And we have spells that can aid you in your pursuits, both for safety and comfort, when you have attained some proficiency at Charms."

His face is serious and straightforward, his mind cleared of emotion. He is practiced at this and it stands him well when dealing with sexual matters. It keeps his hands from shaking.

Amaranth nodded. "That's good. And I'm sure the diagrams will be helpful." She was being polite, because she was pretty sure she knew what she was doing. "I'll be happy to stop by the hospital wing and pick up some of your potions, though, if that's all right."

"Steff's here?" Amaranth squealed. "Eeee! That's great!"

Then she sobered. "So... what did she say about me?"

"Oh, I feel so bad for you!" Amaranth was entirely sincere. She could not imagine a worse fate than being consigned to a life of celibacy.
