Provenza came shuffling around the corner with a cup of coffee and a newspaper tucked under his arm. He could read about the wonders of wizarding history, or how to turn Flynn into a newt (an improvement, ask anyone), or about things at Hogwarts that could probably eat him, but no. Provenza was reading the sports section of the Daily Prophet, and damn if he was going to read anything else.

"Huh," he said when he saw Oly there. He stared at her, but it was more her position at the table he was looking at. "You're in my spot."

I glance up as the man approaches. "Oh, really? Sorry about that." I don't move from my spot, though, because I figure this body has its privileges. Then I notice what he's reading. "How are those people on the brooms doing?" I ask, because to my knowledge that's the only wizarding sport there is.

"Getting hurt. What else is new?" he asked. He wasn't expecting her to move, but it was one of those things that Had To Be Said. He was an old man, after all, and it required a certain level of crankiness. So he took the seat opposite her. "Just like back home."

I grunt. "Not surprising, really." I watch him as he takes the seat opposite me. "So, you know anything about potions?" I want to know.

Ofdensen, actually, was not here for reading. It strained his eye. He was here to get out of Hufflepuff and his desk.

Okay, and to get a couple Arithmacy books. There have been no classes for that yet.

Spotting the guy with the glasses looking like he needs an interruption, I hobble over to him. "So... will I trigger something if I wander over that way?" I ask, pointing at the Restricted Section. "Because that would not be good."

"I think..." he thought. "I think if you open a book and you don't have permission to be there, the book screams."

"That's kind of inconvenient," I answer dryly. "What do I have to do to get permission to be there?"
