It was exciting, exploring the internet on the computer Matt had given him, but Einstein and Schrodinger tended to get bored within the confines of A's small room, especially when A wasn't paying attention to them

"You have another one," Jezz observed, coming up with a viper around his arm and a somewhat better-behaved Ragari perched on his shoulder. He thought back. "Schrodinger and...?"
"And Einstein," A said with a smile, holding out a scrap of meat from his sandwich. Between hearing his name and the tempting morsel of roast beef, the usually indolent feline trotted up, pulling himself up on his hindquarters to bat at the offered snack.
"Greetings, Keheneshnef. Greetings, Ragari." A snake and a bird don't seem nearly as companionable to A as cats (or, he admits to himself, a friendly puppy like Koopa), but Jezz seems fond of them.
If you listen closely, you can hear invisible feet scampering along with the kittens. If you look, you can see the occasional damp footprint smudged on the stone.
And then there's a disembodied giggle. Santi thinks Schrodinger and Einstein are awfully darling.
Santi pads up to him, gradually becoming visible as he does. The cats, who are cats and who have therefore seen him all along, seem unsurprised by this materialization.
A is willing to be at least tentatively friendly to anyone his cats welcome, especially if the person in question is kind to the rapidly-growing kittens in return. The Chairman's smile is encouraging.
"I, I think they like your smell," he ventured cautiously.
"That, or they may sense a kindred spirit. I've been turned into a cat once, maybe they picked up on that." He crouched down to let the cats rub against his hand.
B stopped when he entered the Great Hall. As per usual (and it's depressing to think of this as 'usual'), his personality changed as he looked upon A. And his face crumpled.
Now he knew. Now he KNEW. He HAD been bad to A. A deserved to do everything he did to B. What B did to A he didn't know, but A deserved his revenge.
He crouched at a nearby table, trying to work up the nerve to speak to him, though if he was A, he would be hexed to hell and back.
Wishbone's feeling better. He can't RUN yet, but he can walk a little bit on the injured leg.
But since he can't steal from the kitchen (it never occured to him that the house elves were flat out LETTING him get the food), he's moving on to Plan B: look piteously until they give him food.
That plan flew out the window the minute he walked into the Great Hall and spotted the cats.

"Santi? Is it Santi?"
And of course, with the keen awareness of cats everywhere, Einstein and Schrodinger are batting at their unseen playmate.

Still, he permitted himself a smile as the cats tackled his feet as he walked into the Great Hall.

"Accio Schrodinger! Accio Einstein!"
He clung to the kittens protectively, wand still drawn.

He looked up and said, hesitantly, "B knows. B knows that there's a mean B inside B. B knows that he hurt A."

"B is... Oh, oh, you know why, I don't want, don't want you any closer!"
Or even this close, really, but one step at a time.

CATS! he growled.

"YOU STAY AWAY FROM THEM!"

These are your cats? Then I'll try to behave.
If one of them scratched him, though, all bets are off.

Indeed, they're approaching Wishbone cautiously, sniffing. They're not afraid of dogs; Koopa is a friend, after all.
