Han Solo, Star Wars (OT & EU)

Nov 29, 2006 05:46

*Han stumbled slightly, blinking in shock. Spinning, he snatched his trusty DL-44 from the holster, eyeing the room warily. This was definitely not Anoth, nor even Myrkr... for that matter, this place wasn't much like anywhere he'd seen. Well, maybe a little like that temple on Yavin but still, distinct differences... notably the lack of ships ( Read more... )

Kark. That was a word Aayla recognized after years spent around Quin and Vilmarh Grahrk. Between that, a blaster (albeit an unfamiliar model,) references to the Five Brothers, sabacc, and the Sith of all things, Aayla was reasonably sure that this human was from her home. "Your accent... you're Corellian?"

*Han glanced over at the twi-lek, automatically noting the robe and lightsaber. A Jedi. Well, that was definitely something more familiar... relatively anyways being as the only Jedi he knew was Luke. Well, and Ben Kenobi but that crazy old man had died years ago*

*He nods, grinning slightly at the mention of his homeworld*

Yes, I am, Jedi...? *he trails off, clearly waiting for her to fill in the name*

"Aayla Secura," she said, grinning. "Jedi Master. It's wonderful to see someone from home again." And by "home" she meant the Republic, since she wasn't Corellian.

"Nice you meet you, um Master Secura."

*Han tried to quickly remember everything Luke and Leia had told him about the rest of the Jedi, specifically... how the heck was he supposed to treat a Jedi Master. Now he just wondered where in the galaxy another Jedi Master had appeared from. Abruptly he remembered his manners*

"I'm Han Solo, Captain of the Millenium Falcon. And yes, it is nice to see someone else from-" *he paused then just went with it* "home."

*Zel risks a peek into the sorting room on his way to the Quidditch pitch. No purple-haired Mazoku come to make his life a misery yet. Good.

There is, however, someone waving around a very strange-looking device and shouting what were obviously curses. Rather virulent ones, if he was any judge. Now might be a good time to slip into the "cool blue guy" character. Zel leans against a nearby wall.*

Yeah, some of the questions got me like that, too. Not as bad as the disappearing stairs, though.

A planet? Really? How do you travel between worlds? That takes some heavy-duty magic.

Sorry, where are my manners? *"Cool character" resonations pass through, popping a sentence into Zel's head.* The name's Greywords, Zelgadiss Greywords. And you are? *That didn't quite work. Perhaps if he had a shorter name?*

*Han isn't fazed in the slightest by the appearance of... well a blue guy. He does look at the guy a little confusedly at the question though*

"With a ship of course. None of this... uh, magic, you guys are talking about. Just good old fashioned engineering and science."

*Han smiles faintly at the introduction, vaguely amused, as he answers*

"Han Solo, Captain of the Millenium Falcon."

A ship? I was under the impression there wasn't any wind or water or anything between worlds. Unless your ship is somehow capable of sailing over the Sea of Chaos... *Zel frowns. His ideas of how the universe fits together apparently only apply to his universe.*

*Han blinks in surprise, having no clue what this guy is talking about*

"Sailing over the Sea of Chaos? Umm... no, we use the hyperdrive, there's no sailing, buddy."

Wait, you're offering a planet as a bribe? A planet? Isn't that a little, I dunno, immoral? What about the inhabitants? Shouldn't they have some say in the matter?

"Immoral? I own the planet, why can't I offer it?"

*Han pauses and ponders the question, carefully keeping his expression blank. He remembered all to clearly the irritation of the Dathomir inhabitants but hey, it's not like anyone here was probably every going to actually -go- to the place. Though, if he could send Prince Slime back there*

For a couple of seconds, Robbie just stopped. "You own the planet? Who exactly did you buy it from? How does something like that work!" Robbie was getting far too angry to realize that he hadn't freaked out over the fact that he was a dinosaur.

*Han smirked* "Buy it? I won it, in a game of sabaac. The guy put the deed up for the bid and lost, I won. Simple as that." *It's clear Han takes pride in his gambling skills*

*Han narrows his eyes at the man* "So you're Imperials then?" *He thinks to himself cynically, having expected this I knew it was too good to be true... hopefully they're just some bucket heads.*

Franky looked at the man, and then at his blaster. "Why the hell would you even carry around a piece of crap like that? It looks like it's full of redundant parts," he said, making a grab for it.

"Sithspawn!" *Han dodged out of the way and brought the blaster pistol up to level it at the guy's head, automatically moving in front of Leia* "What the kriff do you think you're doing, pal?!"

Franky, who himself was poking his index finger into the man's gut, looked at him from underneath his sunglasses. "Take it easy, I just want to take a look at it. If I wanted to hurt you, I'd have done it already. That I can guarantee," he said.
