Wasn't Duncan aiding the French Resistance? I had this wild idea that it could be possible for Steve to have met Duncan during the war.

Duncan did several things in WW2 - spy, medic, and Resistance. He most certainly did meet Steve, sorry of that wasn't clear in the story. Ive always wanted to tell the story but I can't quite make it work on my head because I want MCU Nick Fury to be as old as comic Nick (making him a Howling Commando) but there's no indication of it in any films. So, I either need to change my whole head canon or write an AU - both of which are difficult for me to do.

I actually should go up to avengerskink or avengersgen and make the prompt. "Steve met Duncan MacLeod during WWII. What happens later? Does Steve ever run into Duncan again?"

It's just the bit in the middle I was struggling with, but I think this story might have given my muses the nudge I needed.

Oh, this was delicious! Of course Peggy Carter wouldn't be fazed by Immortality, and of course Steve and Duncan would be friends.

I really enjoyed Amanda's friendships with Howard and Peggy. I also enjoyed Amanda's run-in with our favorite Immortal law man, Matthew.

The story of Steve and Duncan is one that has taunted me for years. I think it's because I want Nick Fury as a Howling Commando but in the MCU that isn't canon. That said, writing this has sparked my interest in writing this Crossovers again so, who knows.
