And you don't find it strange at all that people are willing to bare their souls. Perhaps it's just me then, though you did receive a fair amount of response from your last question you posed.
[Padfoot's going to wander back, though if Ginia's watching she might see him flickering a bit as a sign that Draco's happy memory is only doing half its job.]
For the most part. When you first learn spells in my world, you learn the verbal component. As you become older and more skilled, you can start using non-verbal magic, and even wandless magic.
No, I recognize the strangeness of it. There's a sense of honesty and trust here you don't find elsewhere. I won't lie, it's useful, but people need to be careful what they say unfiltered.
Makes sense. One wouldn't want to broadcast what they're going to do after all. Loses the element of surprise and all that.

I'm not going to be held responsible for any idiot who doesn't know when to stop talking. I'll leave it at that. But...it's fascinating. Far more fascinating than it should be. [Whether it's fascinating how honest people are or how stupid some people are, he won't clarify.]
Precisely that, especially when one's in the middle of a battle. Much easier to attack your opponent that way. The downside is that it's also harder to anticipate which spell you have to block.
[Ginia simply smiles. Honestly, it's probably best she's closer to the good side of things; with all the information she has, she could blackmail a good number of people if it ever crossed her mind.]
Which is why you have to look for other things, same as any fight.

That's why I'm having a fr--...an acquaintance teach me physical combat. [He considers Smoker close enough to a friend, but it's safer to go this route.] Having both methods at my disposal ought to make me a bit harder to defeat.
[The differences between friends and acquaintances. Ginia's all too familiar with that and her smile flickers again. There's caution and shrewdness she doesn't see often in others here and it's nice.]
Which is also the same reason why I'm trying to learn filial magic.
[In response, she knits her brows in concentration, putting all her focus and energy into the tiny spell. There'll be a very faint breeze ruffling past Draco's hair. Nothing too impressive, but not bad for someone with no magical background.]

[Tiny though it may be, it's enough to make him actually allow for a faint smile to cross his lips.] Well, well, well. Someone's been practicing. I wouldn't say that's very good, but it's decent for your skill level. [Somewhere in there...there's a compliment.]
[She'll take the compliment.] I've gotten better with Nala - I can heal cuts and use less energy now - but Kipinn is a new development. Giles has been helping me.
[Action]hisdarkmarkSeptember 22 2011, 06:42:47 UTC
I've yet to meet Giles still, though perhaps now I really should if he's helped your skills develop in such a short amount of time. I know you've mentioned him before when we spoke on the subject, but things have been...busy for me as of late.

I've heard about the spirits mostly from Xion. And a bit from Hermione as well when she was here, but I haven't exactly gone out of my way to get to know them on a one-on-one basis.
I...probably should though if I ever plan on teaching. Not that I plan to anymore, but if I ever did. [He's just mumbling, don't mind him. Padfoot, where did you go.]
[Action]hisdarkmarkSeptember 22 2011, 07:54:55 UTC
Hermione had the whole theory laid out at one point when she was here. [It's becoming more and more often that he refers to her by her first name, especially now that he's the only one left.] I just need to read over her notes more, figure out my own theories.
Jaguar.
