New to this community and I just thought I'd drop some tips! Some of them you may already use or they're no-brainers, but these are some things that work for me.

For scenting my linens and drawers I like rose water, you can buy it in spray bottles at most health food stores. (The most popular brand is NOW, which is around $5 and has a bunch of new age prattle. Ignore the new age prattle, it's good stuff.) It's delicate and unobtrusive, and doesn't make me sneeze.

Going to disagree on the reusing old grounds. Once coffee is exposed to air, it starts a chemical reaction. The longer it's out of that air tight bag or tin (in a filter or coffee maker) the more bitter it gets. That trick only works if you enjoy really bitter coffee. Coffee turning bitter in air is the reason many resteraunts discard any pots of coffee not used within 20 minutes.

That said, you can use the old coffee you don't drink to make a wonderful coffee cake. ;)

If you have very alkali soil, putting your coffee grounds into your garden or yard is really great for it, because it balances things. In that sense, any plant is going to be acid friendly if it's growing in alkali soil.

I don't freeze my bread, as we go through a loaf too quickly. What I do though, is keep my bread in the fridge, to keep it from going mouldy (it's hot here, and if I leave it out it will go mouldy really quickly). Keeping it in the fridge will make it go kinda stale quicker, but if I put the bread in the microwave for about 10 seconds it's like it's fresh and soft again. :D
