I think sometimes people say "lucky" when they mean "fortunate."

I agree with chicating, that people mean forunate when they say lucky in this type of situation.

You definitely don't have to feel lucky. Resist away.

I'm sorry you are having to go through this. I'm glad you're privileged (and of course wish we all were).

Be kind to yourself.

I hear your birthday is coming up. If you are still checking in here (or even if you're not), here's a happy birthday wish for you! I'm hoping that your lack of posting is because you have changed up some priorities in your life and that you doing the things you love with the people that matter to you most.

I am checking in here periodically, thank you for the good wishes. I don't post much now - mostly because I'm posting on Facebook or just not posting at all. I've started swimming again, which feels great, and recovery is going well.
