And with an echoing 'pop', they appeared.  Faolan had met up with her at the exact time they set and almost immediately grabbed her hand with a quiet "Let's go".  Seconds later they were out on the English ( Read more... )

((HAHA, MOULIN ROUGE REF ON PUUURPOSE?))

He smiled back down to her, that small, almost secretive sort of smile as he murmured, "Yer welcome." Hands clasped behind his back as they made their way down the descent to the beach, a nice and smooth, rockless path to the sand below. As if Marcy needed any more to remind her of how different they were (as Folly was so absolutely clueless), her casual dress was matched with Folly's normal attire. There were black jeans that puddled over black boots and a trendy gray t-shirt that was rather cool, but covered with his trademark trench coat. Collar was popped as always and framed his five o'clock shadowed face and messy black hair. Really, it could be a million degrees outside and he'd still wear the same thing. It was his look and what he was comfortable in. It also hid the scars that tore into his arms, which he still hadn't really gotten comfortable with.

But it was himFolly was far from after a trophy wife. Well, yes of course he wanted to get married and have children, but it was ( ... )

Oh, Folly wasn't really any sort of drunk, more of a... 'when drunk, I exist'. Those he did tend to get a bit more sharp when under the influence. Had more deep thoughts or something. More philosophical. Anyway, yes, blaming it on Irishism would probably much, much easier. He'd rather people think he was quiet out of lack of things to say, rather then because of the raging storm that constantly roared in his head ( ... )

Well if Marcy knew that, she'd most definately try to change it. When she was drunk, she seemed to turn into the life of the party, the one that dances on the pole and streaks down the road if asked to. Marcy wasn't entirely Irish though so she couldn't even blame it on that. Perhaps saying she was from America would do the trick instead?

Marcy nodded, following Folly's gaze. She thought that he would have meant it the other way around - work was, afterall, intended to be boring in Marcy's opinion and culture and traditions seemed to be more interesting. "Either - I think a bit of both would be good for me to get to know you better, no?"

Grinning up at Folly, Marcy started to pick here and there. She didn't want to come off as a fat cow but damn it, she was hungry and she didn't want to act like an anorexic date tonight! So she picked, with a couple 'Mmm!'s thrown in for good measures to boost Folly's ego and confidence a bit.

Well, Folly's job was pretty different. Ministry officials or doctors or even singers didn't get to go about the world the way the McFinns did. Even in their career field, that kind of activity was rare. But when one was well-known throughout all the different wizarding countries, one was expected to go about as much as possible and help any (and all) that were in need.

Even if they were in Peru.

"Right," he said quietly, sideways smile on his lips as he ate a bit of mash. "Since all aspects of me life are worth knowin'." OH, OHHHH!! HE HAD MADE A JOKE! A JOKE! FOLLY?! It was a.. what was it, witty comment? Sarcasm, even? Wow. Folly rarely felt comfortable enough with people to get his slightly sarcastic side show. "But aye, ye can come about wit me whenever ye please. Juss... don't be expectin' it ter be excitin' fer anyone but those that 'ave this nonsensical obsession wit Runes, okay ( ... )
