Her reply caught him off-guard and he paused, then slowly glanced up at her. "Really?" he asked quietly. Show her which, the boring, traditional or the exciting life part? Most people thought his job to be thrilling and adventurous, but hardly any actually cared to have anything to do with it. It was very dangerous, yes. They dealt with a very, very dark side of the wizarding world and the only job out there that was anywhere near as dangerous as his got the advantage of working in very large groups - the Aurors. Obviously, that wasn't what she was talking about. Smile spreading just a wee bit, he motioned to the food now set out before them, welcoming her to help herself. "Which, th' pastoral or excitement?"
That didn't come out quite like he had intended.

Marcy nodded, following Folly's gaze. She thought that he would have meant it the other way around - work was, afterall, intended to be boring in Marcy's opinion and culture and traditions seemed to be more interesting. "Either - I think a bit of both would be good for me to get to know you better, no?"
Grinning up at Folly, Marcy started to pick here and there. She didn't want to come off as a fat cow but damn it, she was hungry and she didn't want to act like an anorexic date tonight! So she picked, with a couple 'Mmm!'s thrown in for good measures to boost Folly's ego and confidence a bit.

"Right," he said quietly, sideways smile on his lips as he ate a bit of mash. "Since all aspects of me life are worth knowin'." OH, OHHHH!! HE HAD MADE A JOKE! A JOKE! FOLLY?! It was a.. what was it, witty comment? Sarcasm, even? Wow. Folly rarely felt comfortable enough with people to get his slightly sarcastic side show. "But aye, ye can come about wit me whenever ye please. Juss... don't be expectin' it ter be excitin' fer anyone but those that 'ave this nonsensical obsession wit Runes, okay?"
Yes. Folly loved his job because he was a Rune-Nerd.
Folly really wouldn't have cared if she ate the plate itself. To him, a girl acting naturally was more attractive then anything else, but he figured she just wasn't hungry. Who knows when her last meal was, right? She coulda just eaten for all he knew, but she sounded pretty hungry to him when they were discussing running off to another country, didn't she?
