Vote 1: She prefers a small group. Her affinity for distinctive prey animals and large cats, which hunt under cover of stealth, made me think of lions. Because she wants to have defensive capabilities, be a hunter, have camouflage, and live in a warm climate away from water, I'm going to choose an African Lion. Of the eight subspecies of African lion, the one that most fits the temperatures that the applicant is looking for, hot and sunny, would be the Katanga Lion. Lions are also energetic as the applicant desires
Vote 2: For you I see the Northern Goshawk. I liked the idea of you as a bird, especially a bird of prey. It helps that you relate to birds of prey as well. This bird is very lithe and agile like you specified. Because it's a bird a prey, it is more likely the hunter than the 'huntee' like you requested. I even read that, "Adults defend their territories fiercely from intruders, including passing humans." Despite the fact that it's a northern bird, it can migrate south if it so chooses so if the weather

Vote 9: For this applicant, I suggest the Serval because it is a predatory land mammal. It is lithe, agile and powerful as she requested. The animal is nocturnal and the applicant prefers night. In my opinion, the Serval's markings are both cool and distinctive.
Vote 10: I think the Jackson's Chameleon would be well-suited for this applicant. The very first thing the applicant mentioned was their ability to play a situation and fit in wherever needed, and I immediately began to think of an animal that could change itself or shift to its surroundings. The chameleon fits the bill in at least a couple of different ways. Firstly, as a cold-blooded reptile, fitting into its surroundings includes the ability to actually adapt its physical processes to the environment around it. Secondly, of course, is that chameleons change colors. The Jackson's Chameleon in particular has three horns on its head, which gives it both a unique look within the chameleon family and makes it appear distinctively like a predator, which the

Vote 1: I think you would make a good Burrunan Dolphin. I always think of dolphins as kind creatures and that seems to really suit you. You mentioned really loving water so this would be a great fit for you. If this dolphin did come upon danger, it would be able to swim away like you specified wanting to be able to do. You thought it would be cool to have flippers so this meets another requirement. This is a rare breed of dolphin which is why I picked it for you. Because there are only about 150 of them and they are split into two different places, you would mostly be around people you know like friends and family. It seems to fit well with your answer when asked about being a loner or with people.
Vote 2: As soon as the applicant said she retreats within herself I thought of a hedgehog curling into a ball in defense. The fact that she liked water made me think she wouldn't make a good hedgehog, though, until I read that they are excellent swimmers and "take to the water with enthusiasm." This animal also has four

Vote 6: okay, fair enough, hippos! Going with the pygmy hippopotamus here, for a number of reasons. Most importantly, the pygmy has different set of social interactions, living together in small family units (or alone, which ties into being closed off at times), whereas the regular hippo kind of just groups because no reasons and is surrounded by strangers; plus, the pygmy is smaller, and the applicant isn't especially tall. The hippo pretty much stays in the water all the time, which is in line with the applicants preferences, but it also spends time on land, too, also in line with the applicants preferences. As for escaping/camouflage, pygmy hippos can sit still in the water for days, which sounds like some pretty efficient camouflage to me. Adding to this, the applicant likes peace and quiet, and sitting still in the water seems rather peaceful.
Vote 7: I choose the Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby for applicant #565. The applicant said she loved the sunrise and sunset part of the day the most, and that made me

Vote 11: For this applicant, I suggest the Fishing Cat. Since she wanted fur, a tail and excellent eyesight, this cat will be a perfect fit because it possesses all three. She wanted to be able to move quickly and this cat can run quickly in mud as well as swim swiftly. Unlike a lot of cats, the Fishing Cat loves water much like the applicant and can even swim long distances under water.
Vote 12: You mentioned liking water, earth and air, so because of that, I think the Atlantic Puffin would be a great choice. This adorable little bird lives by the ocean, flies but can also walk, so you would have the option of doing both. In addition the ability to fly would also allow you the chance to do two of the things you mentioned - get away from danger and have time alone with your thoughts (really, how peaceful would it be up there just floating around on the clouds?). You describe yourself as liking to be around people you know the best, and Puffins are like that. They are a monogamous species and both parents stick around

Vote 1: I picked the Florida Blue Jay for you. Out of all the Blue Jays, the reason I picked this one specifically for you was because it lived in the warmer temperatures and you said you liked hot weather. The reason I picked a blue jay in general was because I think it would really suit you to be a bird. You mentioned liking air, being able to move around a lot (or fly around a lot) and not being restricted. The blue jay is known to live in a variety of habitats so you would really be able to mix things up and not get bored. It is a smaller bird, but with such a bright blue color you probably wouldn't get stepped on, nor would you be spending too much time on the ground anyways.
Vote 2: You're VERY nocturnal and definitely do not want to be a spider - and although your application is short, it has enough in it that I have quite a bit to work with. I'm thinking that the Sooty shearwater is the best fit for you. First, you want a creature that can travel long distances: the Sooty shearwater migrates between Alaska

Vote 6: I choose the Wedge-Tailed Eagle for applicant #566. The applicant said they are very perceptive of their surroundings and a slight superiority complex which made me think eagle straight away. Wedge-Tailed Eagles have keen eyesight which extends into the infrared and ultraviolet bands, the impressive bird of prey also spends much of the day perching in trees or on rocks or similar exposed lookout sites such as cliffs from which it has a good view of its surroundings. The applicant said they have dark eyes and dark hair and has been told they look very serious, that fits well for a Wedge-Tailed Eagle that has dark brown feathers and dark piercing eyes and has a very serious looking nature. The applicant also said she likes the air and wide open spaces which suits the Wedge-Tailed Eagle, they are highly aerial, soaring for hours on end without wingbeat or effort, regularly reaching 1,800 metres and sometimes considerably higher. The Wedge-Tailed Eagle

Vote 10: Serval Our applicant loves the heat and the serval is at home in the savannahs of Africa Our applicant is more of a loner, the serval is a solitary creature Our applicant emphasized a certain kind of mobility and open space and the serval fits this description as well. They are fast and perceptive like our applicant (they are capable of hearing ultrasonic high frequencies). Our applicant likes the time before sunrise and just after sunset, the same hours that the serval is out hunting.
Vote 11: For this applicant, I suggest the [Central African] Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus)*There are two subspecies for the African cheetahs listed but both loop back to the main entry. It seems that if there is a North African Cheetah that this one should have a different name to avoid confusion but I couldn't find one.* The applicant wanted the ability to move quickly and open spaces to allow for a lot of movement and freedom. Like the cheetah, she loves extreme heat and lounging in the middle of the day. Like

Vote 1: For you I picked the hairy-nosed otter. I know it sounds weird, but it is very cute. I picked this otter because it's the rarest and hardest to identify in the field which fits your shy personality. It has a coat of fur that would represent your nice hair. It's also a water animal and you said you felt comfortable with water. You like cute and cuddly animals and this guy looks very cute and cuddly to me. You would be able to travel well as this otter by swimming.
Vote 2: I'm not seeing a lot, but you like California weather and evening, along with adaptability. Putting it all together, I'm going to give you a California condor as your choice of form. First of all, its habitat definitely gives you the weather you prefer (read: California weather). Also, it has the special abilities you want such as flying - and even changing color to communicate: abilities human beings do not have. Finally, the gorgeous black plumage California condors have - even if they're feathers and not quite fur - matches very well with

Vote 5: New Zealand fur seal. Living in NZ, it's definitely warmer out and winters are mild. Seals are cute and fluffy and have fur, all of which the applicant wants, and they're kind of curvy, just like the applicant! They are best in the water, and the applicant also likes water, so that works out. While not graceful on land, they're capable of moving about, so they're adaptable and not completely contained, as the applicant wants. As far as abilities that the applicant doesn't already have, there's quick swimming and diving, too. Coloring-wise, both give me a similar vibe; plus, the applicant likes her hair, and fur seals are hunted for their fur (it's desirable).
Vote 6: I choose the African Leopard for applicant #567. The leopard is a solitary animal preferring to stick to itself, which suits the shy and loner traits of the applicant. The applicant wanted an animal that is adaptable with a full coat of hair, well obviously the Leopard has fur, and is very adaptable to it's surroundings and habitats. The

Vote 9: I think the Galápagos fur seal would be well suited for this particular applicant for a few reasons. First and foremost, the applicant expressed a desire to be a water animal, but also said that they would be interested in something that had fur, which they related to their hair. The Galápagos fur seal is covered with a brown coat of fur. The applicant also expressed a desire for a temperate sort of climate, not too hot or too cold. The Galapagos Islands is fairly mild and dry, and the temperature rarely gets above 80°F. While seals are generally known for existing in large packs, I took into consideration that this applicant says they are generally a loner and more shy. The Galápagos fur seal actually sort of sets out a specific plot of area for itself and its own family, which would allow the applicant to not be completely alone, but to have space of their own. And the applicant prefers the evening, and that is exactly when this animal generally hunts and feeds and is most active.

Thanks. Although I don't know if we'll make a habit of sharing all the votes this way. It took me a wee bit of time.
