Chigireta tsubasa - Tonisen (V6)

I was playing my V6 playlist shuffle mode when I heard this song. At first I was like, "Wow, who's that?! Isn't this the V6 playlist?!"
Well, turns out that I wasn't really paying attention to the songs, and during the chorus when all three of them were harmonizing, it really DID NOT sound like a JE group. I'm not bashing JE; there are other voices in JE that are quite good, not just V6's, but harmonizing like that where all of the voices are of similar (decent) quality is not something you would encounter very often in a JE group. So that was one of the surprises I had for the night.

I went to look for the PV  here (subbed) and was wowed by the quality of the imagery. It seemed like this PV might have been inspired by the legend of Icarus, who ignored his father's advice and flew so close to the sun that his wings (artificial, made by his father) were burnt, and he fell down to the sea (also seen in the PV).
The lyrics of this song is beautiful, perhaps even the MOST beautiful among all V6 songs I've heard. Not just a sappy love song, this song has REAL imagery - the silver moon, burnt wings, fate that stretches to the horizon.

Just, wow.

It started with a painting on the wall.

The boy flying towards the sun, over windmills - an image I find mesmerizing because I still don't understand its meaning - which connects with the whole burnt wings. The sun looks like a shield with spinning spikes?

Even with his torn wings, he will still fly to her.

Well, the poor boy got shot down, because his wings are burnt by the sun!

And the fish are dancing under the sea, which is why they look blurry in this cap.
Well (mostly) ladies and (also some) gentlemen, I'm very, very convinced. Maybe it's because I'm a film addict, but I'm completely struck by, and stuck on, this PV.

And that's why I decided that just this old, not very well-known PV alone, deserves an entry on its own. More Tonisen, V6, and fine-PV love!
