Well, this season has many promising dramas. Last season I was looking forwards to Sunao ni narenakute, but despite my (undying) love for Juri (LOL, I'm a girl), I really can't deal with the whole complexity of that drama with too many twists and turns and complicated relationship. Kaibutsu-kun actually looks interesting, I've glanced at it and it's pretty funny (I'm never too cool for comedies, especially the more clever ones). But I've got to say, I'm starting to really like "Mother". It's a heart-wrenching yet delicately done drama about a university researcher turn elementary school teacher turn mother, half voluntarily and half not. As you can imagine, being a mother is never easy, especially for someone who doesn't like kids (I don't like kids, so I can totally understand xD). So the journey follows Nao, the "mother", and her adopted kid, on the run, because the kid was abused by her real mother and so Nao has to arrange a scheme to kidnap the kid to rescue her from her mother. I like Matsuyuki Yasuko as Nao, she has that intellectual, yet somewhat cold look a university researcher would most likely have.
You can download the drama
here, with the soft subs wonderfully done by Chuks @ d-addicts. I will update whenever Chuks releases his soft sub. Have fun watching, and drop him a thanks on d-addicts if you can!
