So I got a call from WIC today. Interview on Friday. We'd have to set something up for Morgann in terms of childcare. If I get the job, that will pretty much guarantee her going to a school next year...plus we'd be able to really afford private school instead of scrimping to afford private school.

trying to catch up
Hello! Its been forever. We had a great Christmas and New Years. Wonderful. Peaceful. Relaxing. I'm so not ready to be back to reality. Rich's parents and brother arrived Saturday before CHristmas. We didn't do too much in terms of activities with them, but it was a nice visit. I think they are content to just sit around and do nothing, where-as I ( Read more... ) -
Heading out to SC
We decided to go. We are leaving in an hour or so. A bit crazy, but I think the right decision. They really could use the emotional support. Thank goodness we have flexible jobs. I probably will have to use my vacation time to help keep our expenses in check, but its fine.

First day of school
Here is Morgann on her first day of preschool this year. She is loving it again. I'm hopefully going to get in a few more hours of work each week while she is at school. At least that is the plan! Of course, I scheduled meeting a friend for breakfast instead of working on Friday....but a child free breakfast was just too tempting!

Big Step...
So Rich and I are signed up for foster care classes. We are going to go the foster-to-adopt route. After 3.5" years of no birth control at all, I think this is our best option. Morgann wants a girlfriend. She calls Lester (our girl cat) her sister. I'm excited - not really scared, except with the homestudy stuff! -

LLL Story
Yesterday was the most gratifying day I've experienced as a LLL Leader. Around 7 p.m., I got a help call. It was actually the grandmother calling asking for help for her daughter who just had a baby. The baby was not latching and the mom was trying to help but she didn't breastfeed herself and didn't know what else to do. Apparently, CMC doesn't ( Read more... )
