*just shakes his head*

Those two know nothing of child rearing. I have only to look at Dudley.

*ruffles Harry's hair*

*smiles and leans into the ruffling*

I would've been much better off with you.

*ruffles s'more*

Well, Harry, you're welcome to crash space if you ever need it. Your little friend Draco, too.

*wags a finger reprovingly in Harry's face; jokingly*

Separate rooms, of course.

:O!

Separate rooms? What? Why? Are you scared I'll get him up the duff?

I had a spider once. A tarantula named Paul.

And if you get the reference, I'll love you that much more. Hint: It's not what you may think. *G*

I'm blinded by the Paul here!

I never saw him at Hogwarts, he wasn't your familiar?

I need to upload more icons :P

No, I had him when I was seven. Then he got loose. I had an owl as my familiar. Same as you.

I never really saw you play with your owl, did you ever?

I filled up the 100. :) Of course, I cheated and raided my old one on ones, but since I sort of made a lot of those in the first place...

(determinedly brisk, eyes slightly unfocused with anger)
You only have to see them one more time, though, right?

Yes, and Ron's decided to come with me this time.

Not that they have the nerve to lock me in the cupboard anymore. I couldn't do magic at home, but they hardly knew that.

Good. I'd come too, only I have to, you know, at home. And that whole girl-boy thing; no reason to make them even sniffier.

And he's of age now, so he--not that I'm saying he should do anything, but it's always better not to be bluffing.

Right. Well, I mean, I would have invited you, but... right. I don't think they'd even allow it.

And Dudley would probably flirt with you. *makes a face*

*laughs*
They saw me blow up my aunt, so I think they believe me.

*looks rather at a loss*

I'm sorry about Mr. Arachnid, Harry.

He might not have got squashed though. Some spiders...well, they're extraordinarily resilient. Survive pressure of slippers millions of times beyond their own body weight.

He crunched. I think he was gone.

He might've been Mrs Arachnid for all I know, I guess. It just... it was so important at the time. *sighs and ruffles his hair*

*winces* It could have been...a...mimicked crunch to convince predators that he was...okay. Maybe, you have a point.

I'm sorry you didn't have anyone to tell you stories, Harry. That you had to make up your own.

*smiles softly*
It's sort of silly to get that wound up over a dead bug. It's all right. I mean... right. It's all right.

*looks a little sad*
It would've been nice to have someone to tell me stories. You could tell me a story now.

Fabulous idea, choosing this sort of memory.
And brilliantly done.
