Germany and Italy-Divergence
(Anonymous)

This one was inspired by this "Italy/Germany/Italy-Rape Recovery and Hurt/Comfort" request: http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/21125.html?thread=84245893#t84245893

However, since it didn't really fit Op's prompt, I put it under the "Anything Goes" request: http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/11411.html?thread=23682451#t23682451

This is a one shot, which I may or may not expand in the future.

I think I made it open ended enough not to have any warnings on this, but if you want/need a warning, the inspiring request title could be the warning I guess?

Wow, I really like this piece! At first, I was skeptical when I read how you said this was inspired by the original prompt (I generally prefer not to read rape-hurt/comfort fics). But I decided to give it a go and offer some crit if I could, and I'm really glad I did!

I like the idea of Italy's "older self" telling him to go back and I like how you portrayed Italy's distress and shame at himself for running away, especially after how Germany called out to him. It really did feel like something Veneziano would do - being so afraid and running away, eventhough a part of him would have stayed by Germany's side, but his fear was just too much ( ... )

Thank you! I did consider making future Italy's identity a mystery, but felt it would have more of an impact if Italy knew upfront. I'm glad you liked it. :)
