There seems to be a lot of issues with this new rule. I understand that it is new, and that some people may have missed my initial post of the rule. I have decided to post here to remind everyone and to hopefully clear up a lot of confusion. I've ( Read more... )

Personally, I think the rules need to be a bit clear and more succinct so no one would get confuse what they exactly say ( ... )

Personally, in most cases, I'd be fine if the post is mostly Hetalia. However, this rule was created primarily for the benefit of those who felt that it is wrong to promote other fandom items in a sells community focusing on Hetalia. Since there are sells communities that make this one look extremely lenient, I decided that a bit of pressure on the sellers would be okay... for the most part ( ... )

Except... they do?

But scrolling is hardly a big chore and people RARELY do stick things in the bottom of a sale pages separate from a fandom. I think you are taking rare cases and making them like they were regular incidences though.

I honestly think this is a really good rule. If I go to an entry to look at goods that I may want to purchase and I end up having to scroll through an ungodly amount of non-Hetalia related stuff, I back button. Cramming everything together is not hurting the buyers, it's hurting the sellers.

Just my 2¢ if anyone needs examples. Seems like it would be better to have multiple entries with different fandoms in each, and have a masterlist of links at the top of each entry.

Once I get home, I'll edit the reminder on the side with a condensed version of all the rules. :3

I think this is a good rule, but, even though I only buy and don't really sell stuff, I feel it's a bit much to ask people who sell a lot of doujin and goods to make it only Hetalia in a single post. The sellers that make "sections," and label clearly "this is the Hetalia section of my sales post" are fine, and easy to go through.

I think the ad itself should be only Hetalia merch, but to demand that the post it is linked to be only Hetalia merch is certainly an inconvience for some of our sellers, and I feel it would make people take their ads for sales elsewhere.

The rule doesn't say people can't link to their other sales as well,
but that if there's some Hetalia merchandise surrounded by non Hetalia merchandise, to post the Hetalia items only to this comm.

Speaking as a seller, it's not too hard to just copypaste some items and leave the "ad" as part of the post's guidelines.

But isn't that an inconvenience as well? What I'm talking about is let's say I sell doujin, and I have a post on my journal that's about 75% Hetalia stuff, 25% other. Assume it's pretty darn big, so posting all the images, sales info, etc is a pain. Isn't it easier if I just make an ad here that advertises the hetalia merch with a link to my sales journal post?

Or is that okay and I'm misconstruing the rule?

Personally, I'd think no with doujinshi, because of the space their information takes up.

With other items that are photographed together, that does sound reasonable, if Hetalia clearly takes over the post.
Allowing a whole fourth of the post to be non Hetalia might be pushing it, though. Maybe a tenth would be better?

Either way, that would be something to wait on the mods for. That's what the note mentioning possibly making a poll is about. ;u;

I have a question that I have been confused about since you posted the first time. Is it okay to post the items under the cut on this journal, and still link to your regular journal at the end? That way people can reply to either for contact purposes? Or is that against the rules now too?

Sorry, it just confuses me a bit but I don't want to do anything wrong!

That's exactly what this rule's trying to get at. That that is allowed.

If a separate entry has Hetalia and non Hetalia, just post the Hetalia items in the actual hetalia_sell entry, instead of posting a link alone. /o/

Like osoroshia said, it is fine to post a link to your regular sales posts, just so long as it is just a small link and the main post you refer people to for Hetalia items is Hetalia only.
