There seems to be a lot of issues with this new rule. I understand that it is new, and that some people may have missed my initial post of the rule. I have decided to post here to remind everyone and to hopefully clear up a lot of confusion. I've ( Read more... )

Personally, in most cases, I'd be fine if the post is mostly Hetalia. However, this rule was created primarily for the benefit of those who felt that it is wrong to promote other fandom items in a sells community focusing on Hetalia. Since there are sells communities that make this one look extremely lenient, I decided that a bit of pressure on the sellers would be okay... for the most part.

It doesn't really matter if the ad doesn't mention a peep about other fandoms: those items will still be there anyway, and anyone who clicks on the post will still see them. I don't see how excluding them will make that much of a difference, especially given that most people who click on an ad from this community (mentioning only Hetalia or not) go there for Hetalia only.

There will be a poll on this later. Please try to understand though, even if the other fandom items are on the bottom, people will still have to scroll through them to reply or to make sure you didn't stick anymore at the bottom (It has happened!). I know extra pages means a bit more management, but the buyer does deserve some rights here, and in most themed communities (fandom, certain items, etc), the only items allowed are those of the community. I've heard complaints that our rules are FAR too lenient, especially on what the seller does.

Except... they do?

But scrolling is hardly a big chore and people RARELY do stick things in the bottom of a sale pages separate from a fandom. I think you are taking rare cases and making them like they were regular incidences though.
