I just have to tell you that I hate you with a burning passion. I was trying to get away from VM fanfic, but then I see this story by one of my favorite authors. Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in. DAMN YOU. DAMN YOU. DAMN YOU.

I really liked this chapter. The easy comraderie that Logan and Veronica have are perfectly reflected in your dialogue. The flow of it is fascinating.

And Felix is alive! I love you more by the moment - well, that is if I didn't hate you so much.

"Above all, she avoids focusing on how he had been able to not only survive but thrive throughout it all - and without any help from her." Ahhh, Veronica still needs to feel like she's Logan's saviour. Hey, that's a start, right?

"She's happy with her life in New York with Nick." Okay, girlie-girl, you keep trying to convince yourself because I, for one, am not buying it.

Just a very interesting story, chock full of good characterizations and wonderful dialogue. But, just in case you didn't know...I hate you. ;0

Hee, I'm sorry to hear that you hate me. Usually I prefer people to like me. I'd stop writing this piece - so you'd like me again - but I'm afraid that there are too many other people who would hate me because of that. Hopefully you can look past the hate to read and enjoy the fics? [but, believe me, I know the feeling - I still have one author I follow in Passions fandom, and I haven't read anything *else* in that fandom for probably 3-4 years]

And, yes! Felix is alive. Since S2 [and even 122] never happened, he never died by Thumper's hand. Or anyone else's hand. And, seriously, having him near Weevil just felt right. :)

Veronica still needs to feel like she's Logan's saviour. Hey, that's a start, right?She's used to taking on that role at least. After all, when they were in high school, whenever Logan had a personal crisis or issue, more often than not, he'd call her. Whether he needed her PI help, or just needed someone to talk to or distract him - that's what her role was throughout most of high school. To think that

So far my muse is going well - it's just a matter of finding the time in which to write. :)

While I'm glad that you can identify with Veronica, I think her annoyance with the arrangement comes more from feeling like she's pushed into something she doesn't want/isn't ready for. I mean, her parents were nudging her towards marriage at the church - "Isn't this what you want?" / "Can't you see yourself wearing a nice dress like this?" / etc. She feels like Neptune is too traditional and old-school to let her be who she wants to be - a woman with her own, successful career, a woman without a husband, a woman living in sin with a man of her choosing. I mean, yeah, Neptune has it's own share of people living in sin, but those people are usually married and just cheating on their spouse. And, wow, that got off topic. Still, I'm glad that you could understand what Veronica was feeling - and I've definitely been there myself.

The thing about Veronica and her happiness - she is happy. But the question is more whether she really wants

Yeah ... I'm something of an angst-lover. But if you look at [most of] my other work, the angst is usually followed with a Happily Ever After, More or Less. And I promise that that's in the future yet. Just ... still quite a few chapters away.

I KNEW IT! I knew Veronica would catch the bouquet and Logan would catch the garter. I really want to know the question hanging between the two of them....I was surprised about Logan's story of how he came to have a daughter, but I would really like to learn more about Cara. I really love this story...please post more when you have time. I will be patiently waiting.

Yeah, the question of WHY Logan cut off contact with V for so many years is yet to come. Probably a few chapters away still. Hard to guess since it's clearly not written yet.

There is definitely more about Cara - and a little more about the story - to be told yet. Look for that in a few more chapters too. Those details are things that going to be slowly unraveled over the course of the story. I like to be like Shrek, and compare that situation to ogres and onions - there's lots of layers and lots of things yet to be revealed. Not necessarily ground-breaking news [contrary to popular belief, Esperanza was *not* born with 2 heads ;)], but still more [I think interesting] details yet to be revealed.

Aww. The end...for now. I hope you update this really soon. I really want them to have their "talk" and have everything revealed about why Logan cut all ties all those years ago! Can't wait for more. :)

The talk probably won't be in the next chapter. But it's forthcoming, definitely. As are details on why Logan cut off contact years back.
