My Cardinals lost. On Friday night, I got a gut feeling the Giants would win. I really hate my intuition right now. But I still love my Cardinals. Because that's what you do. My father did tell me, "At least you're not a Cubs fan." I guess he's right. Even so, those three games that we won were one hell of a giant

And I feel you; the Nats and the Orioles lost on the same day. It was not happy times in the MD/DC area nor in the hearts of MD/DC expats (although I mostly don't care, but I was hanging out with people who do).

Oh. Ouch. I apologized on behalf of the Cardinals for Game 5 of the NLDS. Obviously, we paid dearly for that comeback. It was all Chris Carpenter's fault, with his Rousing Speech and everything and I have a weakness for tall attractive men named Chris. Maybe next year (for everybody)...

It's okay, the Yankees lost, so that's all I care about (not personally, because what is baseball, but in theory). I think given I'm in Queens now I'm supposed to be a Mets fan? I'm okay with that. Mets fans are good people.

The Yankees losing helps me keep my faith in humanity. Oh, and the Mets got their first no-hitter in franchise history this year...against the Cardinals. Jon Stewart fanboy-ed about it on The Daily Show and even showed a video of himself squeeing at the end of the game. Oh well, I can appreciate that. And he was just so darn cute about it!
