HOW'S THE VIEW?

If this ("Brother speaks against political activist," Nov. 3) is what passes for political reporting at The Oakland Press, I am so very glad I've never subscribed despite receiving six separate telephone solicitations in the past 10 months.

Charlie Crumm: Could you describe the view from inside Joe Knollenberg's pocket?

Before running with that bit of family drama masquerading as newd, did Mr. Crumm think to ask why the Congressman's chief of staff is spending so much of his time retaliating against a local activist (posting in blogs, leaking letters to favored reporters, etc.)?

Here's another question: Is the 9th District getting full value for the $160,000 in taxpayer dollars Knollenberg pays Trent Wisecup?
