Wingdings are the little graphics "fonts" included in every version of Microsoft Word since 1995 or so. Heck, I used that very symbol 17 years ago as a graphic bump for the Fort Polk Guardian (I used two of them, side-by-side, to identify columns written by the fort's commander, a major general (two-star).
